Keisha Buchanan bites back on new promotional release ‘Gimmie Pressure’. The hard-hitting buzz single sees the ousted Sugababe singer make no secret about who she’s taking aim at (see: Amelle, Heidi, Jade).
Indeed lyrics include lines such as “you taking shots on my name, I’ll put it on ya”, and “you try to label me, I’m not gonna wear it. I’m the original, not no generic”.
Meow! Take a listen a listen after the jump…
Via PB:
Wow! Most certainly a compelling listen; one which re-ignites the buzz for Keisha’s long awaited solo debut on Island/Universal Music. For lyrically, ‘Pressure’ sees Buchanan’s underrated songwriting ability paired with a rousing, (at times) Dub-Step inspired beat – which in an era of uptempo songs saying not much of anything, makes this a winner and then some. Great track.

I like Keisha though, the song is just a little bold for that voice :-/

Lol this is not Dubstep in any way, shape or form! and while we’re on the subject can everyone and their mama stop jumpin on the damn dub bandwagon.
As for the song, if it wasn’t for the lyrics and their topical appeal it would be forgettable but kudos to Keisha for creating some drama for herself.

BEAST OF A SONG!
Her pen is quite underrated but this is really good. DUBSTEP wasn’t apparent until the very end but that’s not enough to call this a dubstep track. Anyways… Way to go Keisha!

GREAT SONG!! Well-written and sang. BUUUUUUT this sounds like a demo to me…like she’s gonna actually come back and sing FOR REAL once they decide if this track is gonna make the album.
She’s not singing hard enough to the beat, for me, in my opinion.

LOL, not dubstep. Keep digging your heels in with stupidity.
Keisha’s Twitter said this was written two years ago when she was still in an angry place, and that she’s very upset about it being released. She said it will NOT be on the album. That said, I still like it.

The song is good & catchy but it sounds like its not finished, I could hear tinie tempah on this I think it would blow because it’s got a passout /rihanna vibe to it.
