…one of the people at CB’s listening session weeks ago said he remade an SWV song and it sounded great. I’m expecting a mixture of sounds just like Graffiti had R&B (Single Like Me) , europop (IYA, Pass Out), pop ballads (Crawl, So Cold), urban ( ICTY, Wait). I don’t believe that I have to like every song on an album for it to be great. I loved Graffiti Deluxe and I loved 15 out of 19 songs.
CB also lived in NYC for a number of years (which is how he knows his homegirl Moe) before getting signed to Jive so I think he has influences from his VA and NYC upbringing too.

…one of the people at CB’s listening session weeks ago said he remade an SWV song and it sounded great. I’m expecting a mixture of sounds just like Graffiti had R&B (Single Like Me) , europop (IYA, Pass Out), pop ballads (Crawl, So Cold), urban ( ICTY, Wait). I don’t believe that I have to like every song on an album for it to be great. I loved Graffiti Deluxe and I loved 15 out of 19 songs.
CB also lived in NYC for a number of years (which is how he knows his homegirl Moe) before getting signed to Jive so I think he has influences from his VA and NYC upbringing too.

I heard about the album listening party, I commented on it perhaps on another post. I read the tweets of some execs and others that were there and they said A LOT of positive things about it! I am excited and I haven’t lost hope! I just have a feeling that he is going to be rapping more than I thought on the album and I don’t want to hear that! I liked ‘LAMN’ at first, but now that I hear it more I am sick of it. Especially when they play it on the radio cause they have to beep out all the cursing and it sounds weird as hell. I do want and expect a variety of sounds on FAME but I was just REALLY hoping that “LAMN’ was gonna be the ONLY record he was rapping on. I had enough of the rapping from the mixtapes!
I also know he spent some years in Harlem when he first got signed. He was living with his manager Tina (*side eye* ) that’s how he met Teyana and Moe, but he was born in a small southern town in VA and that’s where he spent the majority of his youth! Being in a different enviornment can rub off on you, but he seems to have changed a lot. I’m not feeling ‘this’ Breezy at all. I think the fame might have changed him.
He needs to stop with this rapping! It was fine on the mixtapes (the first one mind you) but now it’s over kill! He looks like he really ‘thinks’ he is hard now and it’s just soo cheesy! All this n*gga this, n*gga that is NOT believeable coming from him! He has even been caught saying ‘blood’ on camera few times! He for damn sure ain’t no gang banger! He been hanging with The Game corny ass too long! I hate when people try to rep what they are NOT! His people can’t tell him the truth to his face and tell him that he sounds corny! Plus it can’t be good for his image! I wouldn’t be suprised if Harvey from TMZ puts this on his blog! SMH. He needs to think abuot how he presents himself!

Funny though because when LAMN had JUST came out and S&M had been out for atleast a week or more before it was #37 on iTunes when Chris was sitting in the Top 5 and you were NO WHERE TO BE FOUND! Lol. You pop your patheic self from up under that rock now? You fail.
I hope he isn’t going to rap on anymore songs after LAMN. I like LAMN. But someone has convinced him one of his talents is rapping. Although he doesn’t suck like Soulja Boy, Wacka Flocka Flame, Gucci, etc. He talent is singing(and other things but don’t care to list those). Just because he can probably rap better than some of these rappers out today doesn’t mean he should. LAMN was his fun he said he doesn’t consider himself a rapper so get back to the singing. I’m a fan so I’m not trying to shade him. I just don’t think he should take the rapping thing too far.
Also whoever is still bringing up the fact Chris didn’t win a Grammy…..artist such as DIana Ross have never won a Grammy after 12 nominations. Chris 21 with a good career so I don’t have a doubt he will win one someday but don’t act just because he has been in the game for 6 years means he is less of an artist for not having a Grammy. Some artist it takes them YEARS to achieve it. It’s just how it works because the Grammys snib real artist all the time.

@VA STAND UP- I disagree with you, Chris sounds fine and he wants to explore all music, pop, rap, r & b, europop. How many artist can cross over in different genres. Chris image is set already, people will not see him as a sweet innocent boy from va. They will forgive him, but he can never be that guy from the run it days, the media won’t let it happen. They will always remind people of his past and some of them will always call him the bad boy or R & B. Chris is doing what he loves, he wanted to do rap in the beginning of his career and he chose singing because he was better at it. On green goblin Chris verse is better than Jae Milz and I am not saying that because I am a die hard fan, its the truth. He can’t compete with Lil wayne and busta on his LAMN single but he did good enough to sell the single. Is he worst than Bow wow or souja boy, I don’t think so. You have to have an open mind and move forward to the new CB, he isn’t the same man 3 years ago. He is grown singing about s** and grown emotions. He stated on his interview that FAME will consist of Rap, old school R & B, baby making music, pop,love music, I love it that experimented in all fields.
