The sad reality for Breezy stans is that no one except you is checking for him and most reviewers are meh about his latest effort. He’s not going to slay and he’s not going to sell a lot and you should just be content that you still support him regardless of his troubles. Hell, there are people still supporting R. Kelly too, but just know that most people cannot overlook the fact that he’s a woman beater

I would like to know the reviews you have been reading because the only REAL (not those blog reviews because they aren’t certified in anything) review I saw was from Entertainment Weekly who said F.A.M.E. was an album worth hearinf and gave it a B+ then CNN re-posted the article from Entertainmnet Weekly so what were you saying? Not that it really matters as if critics were something right? Chris was happy with the reviews whent old about them on a radio interview his smile is adorable you mad hun? And you state “the fact he is a woman beater” like it’s an ACTUAL FACT! No hunny that is NOT A FACT! In fact techinacally to be a woman beater wouldn’t you have to continue to beat woman? You can’t become a woman beater, a theif, etc. from one incident. It takes lack of remorse, no concern over being a better person,etc so him being a woman beater and not have changed is an actual opinion.

I love the radio interviews too! I honestly lost count of how many he’s done this past week. All of then have been highly entertaining though. She knows so much about instruments to. I know she has to know the keys of the piano and Prince said she was very familiar with scales. She’s also great with melody, she mainly contributes to the melodies in her songs. That’s what people need to realize when it comes to the writing credits. A lot of times the credit isn’t only for actual WRITING, writing the musical arrangements and melodies can get you credit to (Swizz Beats)

People would respect her a lot more if she played an instrument. Granted, artists who aren’t really known for playing an instrument get a lot of respect too (Mariah, Whitney, Michael, Barbra Streisand, even Bey’s contemporaries like Janelle Monáe, Florence Welch, Adele, Amy Winehouse), but those artists’ music are held in much higher regard than Bey’s.
I’m not an aspiring musician, but one of my biggest regrets in life is not learning how to play an instrument. I had the opportunity when I was younger, but I turned it down on account of being too lazy to learn to read music.

I learned piano at 15, but I stoped and I’m about to start again. I still know the basics, but I want to be great at it. Lol, I’m nervous that I forgot though. I want to be involved in music in some way. A lot of my cousins are. One raps, one sings, one plays guitar and one produces and djs. I want to write and produce. I wish I could sing! Unfortunately, funding for music and arts programs for most public schools are basically non-existent. So most students nowadays are deprived of the opportunity to take up learning an instrument.
Oh, and I always wanted to play piano and guitar, but I’d want to be a REALLY good pianist, so that would take years of training, and kinda late for that. I’m in love with the guitar, it’s such a badass, s*** instrument. It’s the one instrument where you’re better off being self-taught so you can develop your own style. I cannot say enough how excited I am to hear F.A.M.E. as a whole on Tuesday. I heard snippets of it on Ustream earlier and I love what heard. I agree with @Kavion. I’m not really big on record sales, I just love talented artists who make great music. I mean if Chris’ album sales well, of course I’ll say my congrats and everything, but I’m definitely not the type to make it seem as if stats and #’s make an artist. It’s about the quality of music for me. I’ve heard many of Chris’ interviews that he has done over the course of this week and I love the fact that he seems appreciative of his fans and the opportunity that he has to make music for us and the world. I can only expect great things to come in the future from him. I’ve heard that Calypso and Sweetheart are supposed to be on Fortune. I’m not sure if this is true, but I really hope it is!!!

You should look up this chick called Anna Calvi. She’s an English singer-songwriter guitarist, and she’s really good. REALLY good. Her voice is sublime and operatic and she’s a very solid guitarist, she might be the female Jack White. Also quite good live.
She just put out her first album, and apart from Adele’s 21, it’s quite possibly the best album put out by a female this year so far. She’s also oddly reminiscent of Janelle Monáe. Not soul/R&B influenced, but judging by the bands you do like, I think you’ll like her.
And visit your local record store, ask them for recommendations on the type of music you’re looking for.
