We caught up with the starlet, who is signed to Jay-Z‘s Roc Nation, in London last week; chatting it up with her about many a topic including: her rise to prominence, plans to smash the US, her thoughts on non-singer’s judging shows such as the X Factor, Rihanna, Beyonce, her desire to date Chris Brown, and much more.

I think it’s funny that when asked to describe her music, she used colorful and loud…kinda like Rihanna. Another funny moment…when she said US listneners won’t settle for just anything but lists legendary acts as influences. Alrighty then.
She’s young, so I’ll cut her some slack but I hope she does well. Good job Alexis…you’re mad talented and don’t take the critics too hard.

My god people giver her a DAMN break…. There’s a line between cocky and confident and Alexis is just confident. She’s living her dream. If she was conceited I’m sure her answers would have been a lot different. What I got from the interview is that she’s humble yet comfortable with herself. She’s outgoing, open enough to answer the questions truthfully, and she didn’t hesitate when asked to sing for the interview. She was nothing but classy, but you can’t forget that she’s still new to the business. Don’t knock her for not acting like your faves… she’s a different person. She’s still processing what’s going on in her life, but there’s nothing wrong with being proud of your accomplishments. She was age-appropriate, had fun with the interview, and didn’t shade anyone (saying you’d date Chris Brown isn’t shading Jason). Grow up and stop with the ignorant hatred.
Oh wow I like her a lot. I think she’ll get better in interviews. I dont like Rihanna but even I know she wont bring down Rihanna from where she is. Rihanna has established herself and has made a huge fanbase here in the US and even bigger overseas. If Britney can last as long as she has I think Rihanna can do the same. No shade just the truth
