Why do irrelevant things like number of likes on Facebook, amount of followers on Twitter, position on iTunes charts seem to matter so much these days? Things that were once considered completely (and rightfully) irrelevant to an artist’s success, are now being counted like they matter. Why? Like it’s been already pointed, none of those things have any real impact on your success or dictate the amount of talent you have. Yet people are celebrating and starting stan wars over it like it makes all the difference in the world. That’s like making a big deal out of being employee of the month at McDonald’s. Like really, who cares?
And before some idiot says I’m pressed and that I wouldn’t be so “mad” if this were my fave, I say to you in advance that no, I wouldn’t give any more of a f*** if my fave had the most likes on Facebook. I think some people forget that rihanna is only 23, and is STILL at the early part of her career, and wait… she is the youngest artist to have reached 10 number 1 singles in a short span of time in her 5 year music career that’s just incredible
