She may no longer have one of her own, yet that hasn’t stopped Jennifer Lopez from pushing ahead with the release of ‘Papi’ – the latest single to be lifted from her ‘LOVE?’ LP.
With the album in unmitigated free-fall, there was some doubt as to whether any more videos would be serviced. Yet if new casting call is anything to go by, Ms. Lopez will be telling fans to “move ya body, move ya body” in visual form sooner than you think.

After the so-so performance of ‘I’m Into You’, this is undoubtedly the best card Lopez and her team could have played to salvage the project. Let’s just hope she actually promotes this go round. For, as I’ve said many a time, the industry’s unfair bias against older artists shows no sign of letting up. We are, after all, in an era of 20-somethings; an era where the J.Lo’s and Janet’s are viewed as dinosaurs by the iTunes mass.
As such, she and fellow older divas need not rest solely on talent shows or their profiles; they need to be any and everywhere. I’m talking Mariah circa 2005. Remember how she’d be the opening of a door to promote her ‘Emancipation’?! J.Lo and co should take note.
Love the song! Personally I think she should’ve released it as the second single instead of “I’m Into You”. Definitely more radio-friendly

Let me get this right…are you defending Jennifer Lopez and her music? Are you actually trying to suggest that Jennifer should have been more successful than she has been? Jennifer Lopez is one of the many examples of all that is wrong with the music industry…where looks/image seems to be the #1 requirement. I got Papi off itunes when d album was released, i love when my fav tracks r released as singles n to d person who said she’s sold a million copies pls stop dats a lie, she hasnt evn sold 500k in US. The album isnt doin well at all like some folk ere make it seem, it plummeted down d charts in UK too. Summer release and its bn out of top 40 for weeks evn aftr performin at “capitol” on the floor is the only good thing from ds project sales-wise

I think American Idol duties plus issues with her marriage sort of marred Love. But she is having more success with On the Floor than she’s had with many of her songs over the years. So she’s not flopping at all. She’s winning if anything. Last year, she fell on the AMAs and lost a record deal. I’m into You isn’t bad, just that people are tiring of female artist/rapper formula. She’s back on Idol, so next year at least if she puts out a new cd she knows how to time it better as far as promos. As for her, Janet being seen as dinosaurs. No offense to the same 10 artists people nonstop stan for on here, I’d rather listen to Jlo and Janet’s entire catalog than some stuff on the radio. My opinion though.
