Urban Pop’s permanently pouted lip posterboy Trey Songz is making rounds promoting his upcoming double mixtape releases for ‘Anticipation 2′ and “LemmeHoldDatBeat2″ (both due November 1). While the former is the follow-up to his famed ‘Anticipation’ mixtape (2009) and follows the same avenue of R&B panty-dropping tunes, the latter sees the singer ditch his trademark howl for a flow. Both will tide fans over until Songz opens Chapter 5 – his fifth studio album.
Most recently spotted with our friends at SoulCulture, Songz modestly dished on his evolution into the realm of rap by stating:
“No singer can rap better than me. I think I rap better than most rappers.”
