Usher And David Guetta Deliver With “Without You”

Published: Sunday 25th Sep 2011 by Rashad

The first broadcast performance of “Without You” saw ‘Nice and slow’ singer Usher slow things down a tad with super DJ David Guetta at last night’s Las Vegas spectacle “IHeartRadio Music Festival”. Hosted at the famed MGM Grand Garden Arena, the cut – lifted from Guetta’s latest LP ‘Nothing But the Beat’ – is just one of many from its parent album getting the live treatment in the past few weeks.

Joining the likes of fellow pop and R&B favorites billed for the festival (Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, etc), find out how Mr. Raymond fared after the jump:

That was so dull. It’s sad to watch how much Usher has changed over the years. He had no energy and when he tried to look energetic and flexible, he failed and then kept standing there like a cucumber…I haven’t liked his image since 2010.The whole cockiness about him is out of hand, the styling, the hair.It feels like he’s making a fool of himself and I don’t dislike him, but what I just watched was not very good.

2 of my fav male artists together is a cool thing ! usher is MY king of R&B and guetta is the king of DANCE music ! I love ” nothing but the beat” !
But that performance was weak ! the song is weak too !

6.5/10 ! but at least he didn’t lip-sync Like a lot of ppl do now !

  4. knowall September 25, 2011

This song is good and I like the fact that Usher is staying relevant in music. But Usher’s live vocals have been on the decline for years..I wonder if he’s taking care of his voice or warming up properly????

  5. Brother September 25, 2011

Dude is WACKKKKKKKKKKKKKK. I don’t give two flying f**** if he is singing live or not. Dude is not energetic anymore. This is what drinking to much can do to your career. NEXT

that was beautiful, usher look s*** and he sounds great, good luck for the future, can people who never sing or never perform in their life stop hating, siting home doing nothing in life, criticizing others that are making a difference in the world one day at a time. a bunch of losers in here, black people on welfare, get a job and leave the KING of pop alone to reign

  7. `iLoveYou` September 25, 2011

The King of Pop is Michael Joseph Jackson. @Violet

  8. leo September 25, 2011

@violet. King of pop? jajajajajajajajjaja *smacks forehead* wow you are so delusional!! THE KING OF POP IS MICHAEL JACKSON!! there will never be nobody like him not even usher get it together boo boo.

  9. hannah September 25, 2011

Tameka and this tour manager Terrence needs to stop to jump from blogs to blogs to insult Usher. This performance was the s*** and he shitted on all your faves.USHER IS THE KING OF POP the sooner you will accept it the sooner your delusional little self will feel better. Call me when your have a diamond certified album or at least a platinum album.
Usher and his stans are shittin on this industry since 1998 and they aren’t going to stop anytime soon.Yall are mad because your fave wasn’t invited to perform because nobody is there for 106&Park singers

  10. hannah September 25, 2011

and for the fools who are talking about Michael Flopson, the truth is that this rappist isn’t relevant since the black or white era. Madonna shitted on him and stayed relevant. USHER IS THE KING OF POP end of the story,he is still relevant when his contemporaries like Beyonce Britney Xtina or 50 cent can’t reach the million mark for their albums or selling out arenas.Usher performances are so praised that sold out 98 arenas this year. and sold 10 millions of singles in the US alone last year. here are the receipts and you can kill your self if you are mad.

  11. lol September 25, 2011

    @hannah
i hope you are mental retarded little girl Michael Jackson number 1 never touched anyone, 2 his “floppest” album invicible outsold Ushers confessions, 3 Madonna was NEVER as big as a star as MIchael Was and is even after his death. Gays and other rising female pop stars copy Madonna but EVERYONE takes somethin from Mj and are proud to admit it ,Lastly Usher is one of my fav artist BUT he is not KING OF POP , Prince Maybe but not King to do that you Must atleast have an astounding vocal range that can cross over and sound natural singing folk,latin.soul.gospel,rnb,rock,and classical (like Mj ),be able to create your own damn dance steps (like Mj ) , transform and create genres of music so much so generation after generation afterwards are still jackin your s***(like Mj)

Now DUMB B**** TAKE YO RAGGEDY YOUNG A** TO BE YA BOP !!!

  12. lol September 25, 2011

  13. raymond September 25, 2011

    hi

  14. GREG September 25, 2011

Hannah……you are on crack!…the king of pop?…..and Michael’s career speaks for itself….not many can rival his stats. As much as i like Usher this was boring.

  15. VA STAND UP!!! September 25, 2011

Hmmm….it was a bit lack luster. I mean it is a ballad so I wasn’t expecting any choreography or anything…but this was so dull. His vocals sounded pretty good but he sounded a bit shaky too. He looks like he hasn’t slept in days. What is up him wearing all black all the damn time? And for f**** sake when in the absolute f*** is he gonna cut his damn hair! Has no one told him that style looks like s*** on him! Ugh!

I will never shade Usher and say he is ‘washed up’ or anything like that but I just feel like he will never be as great as his confessions era. I just don’t see him getting his swag back. *shrugs*

I do like this song though. *shrugs*

  16. THEMAN September 25, 2011

This was decent, it felt like he was just warming up though.

LMAO! This is the MOST delusional comment I have seen on this blog in a long time! You honest;y can’t believe the s*** you said? You must be that crazy b**** from T****’s site! I can’t……

The performance WAS lackluster, no one is hating! Usher hasn’t been himself for some time now. I am sure Tameke doesn’t even know this blog exist. SMH. Get your head out of your ass and go have several seats! SMH!

So glad this s*** is dying out! This era in music has gotten absurd, f*** pop music!!

  26. nice_gurl September 26, 2011

Usher, you need to cut your hair and change your style. I have noticed he is starting to become a little cocky as well. He used to be cute, but he is starting to become annoying. And he should also change back to his R&B music.
