2025 GRAMMYs Nominations: Megan Thee Stallion, Sexyy Red, Ice Spice, Doja Cat, & Nicki Minaj Fans Erupt After Rap Divas Are COMPLETELY Snubbed

Published: Friday 8th Nov 2024 by Rashad

Female rappers may have offered some of 2024’s most memorable contributions to music, but it appears the good folks over at the Recording Academy were none-too-impressed as the ladies were severely underrepresented across the 2025 GRAMMY nominations (as revealed on November 8).

GloRilla is unarguably the year’s biggest female Rap success story and even she was only able to nab two nods (Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song) – leaving her completely axed from general categories like Song or Record of the Year.

And while Cardi B, Latto and Doechii were at least mentioned (Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance, and Best New Artist respectively), big names like Megan Thee Stallion, Flo Milli, Nicki Minaj, Sexyy Red, Doja Cat, and Ice Spice were wholly omitted – a feat that sent their respective fan bases into melt downs on social media.

Minaj may have been largely inactive over 2024 due to her history-making tour, but hits like ‘Everybody‘ and ‘FTCU‘ (from 2022’s ‘Pink Friday 2‘) were released within the 2025 GRAMMY nominations’ eligibility window – as was her chart-topping Stallion diss ‘Big Foot.’

Speaking of Stallion, arguably the year’s most active female rapper, she delivered the Hot 100 chart-topper ‘Hiss‘ as well as multiple top 40 hits like ‘Neva Play,’ ‘BOA,’ and the viral ‘Mamushi‘ – all found on her latest hit album ‘Megan.’

Elsewhere, Milli, Cat, Spice, and Red all had notable wins over 2024 for their hits like ‘Never Lose Me,’ ‘Agora Hills,’ ‘Fart,’ and ‘Get It Sexyy’ respectively – yet, like Minaj and Stallion, none were recognized by the Academy for 2025.

They did not give us “memorable” hits like you said. Look at the numbers these girls barely move the needle. A few of them have done decent on billboard with singles but ppl aren’t supporting their albums in large numbers.

But Latto got a nomination and only sold 25k first week??? How that make sense

      • detruth November 8, 2024

They had to give somebody a nom but this whole female rapper resurgence is dying. Labels won’t keep putting so many female rappers out if the return on investment doesn’t make sense. These girls don’t even sell $100k 1st week.

Nicki has the highest selling female rap album & highest selling tour by a female rapper. I’m confused?

      • detruth November 9, 2024

Nicky projects always perform. These other ladies not so much. I don’t even like Nicky personality but can’t deny she’s a winner.

Of course Cardi would get nominated… smh the Grammys suck.

ALL GARBAGE 🗑️ Only Black folks keep this mess still in existence. Like Frozen, Let it Go !

  4. CharIsAngelz November 8, 2024

Tate McRae, Remi Wolf and Olivia Dean were snubbed too…but I’m delighted for RAYE and Claire. At least those two underrated artists are in.

Oh my bad didn’t read the headline properly. Yeah it’s a surprise none of the mainstream female rappers who released hit singles this year were nominated especially Meghan and Ice Spice.

  5. YSLICENIKA November 8, 2024

Like usual. Nicki deserved Album of the Year.

    • Paulo November 8, 2024

Her album sucked and the era was cheaper than a Temu lace front.

The Grammys blacklisted her anyway. 😜

      • Paulo November 8, 2024

The real Paulo approves this message 😛

  6. Trashpanda November 8, 2024

GloRilla deserves a Grammy for Yea Glo and her album but I think it isn’t eligible this year due to its release date

  7. Paulo November 8, 2024

Meg and Doja were definitely snubbed. The rest, not really

    • PF2 November 8, 2024

Kamala made sure Meg didn’t receive a nomination after all that ass shaking and tongue sticking didn’t secure her a spot in the White House LMAOOOOOOO

  8. Keitb November 9, 2024

Glorilla, Sexxy Red, and Ice Spice fans didn’t REALLY think these ladies would be nominated for anything, DID THEY????? 😂 😂 😂 C’mon, now 😂
