The X-Factor USA is here!

Fox’s much hyped British import has finally kicked off on American soil and looks set to be the biggest show of its kind.

Featuring judges Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, LA Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, the show favours American Idol with its nationwide auditions. However, there is a defining twist in that groups and solo acts over 25’s are eligible to enter.

Unsurprisingly, with this being the Judges’ Homes, the talented and talent-challenged are out in equal measure for a crack at progressing to the live shows. With special guest judges Enrique Iglesias, Pharrell Williams, and Rihanna playing assistant to Nicole, Paula, and L.A. respectively, fans were treated to a brand new reason to tune in.

Check out the best and worst from this, the 8th episode, below…

    I actually like this show MUCH better than American Flop/Idol. Unlike AC the talent is raw and promising. American idol is wack due to their restrictions on age, being fixed by the network ect… X Factor will be good for a while. That girl tore Beyonce song Listen up!

    @TGJ team —

    “and looks set to be the biggest show of its kind” <–O~o

    Er… Just what are y'all talking about?? 'X-Factor' ratings have failed to impress. And that episode that featured Rihanna, did it set a "new viewership record" – NO!
    Here, have a look: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/10/14/tv-ratings-thursday-x-factor-drops-still-leads-fox-win-on-a-mixed-night-of-advances-declines/107233/ <– Even WITH an "upwards" adjustment, as compared to the prior week's show!

    ..And, as far as the show's OVERALL showing (AND the last 'Rihanna featured' show): deadline(dotcom)/2011/10/ratings-rat-race-x-factor-makes-sunday-appearance-pan-am-sheds-another-tenth/

    brennin hunt is going to be one of the first cut, let me tell you why, because dude stepped out the door playing his self. Someone should tell dude to just shut up and look pretty. Rihanna said exactly what i was thinking, “KORNY”, and even the laugh Nicole gave, after his response to her question. See America this is what happens when you inflate someone’s ego, for basic qualities such as looks.
