‘The Voice’ Whitney Houston took to Entertainment Tonight moments ago to share the latest news on her forthcoming movie production ‘Sparkle’ – a remake of the famed 1976 musical. Boasting an all star cast (Cee-Lo Green, Jordin Sparks) and R. Kelly manning the soundtrack production, the film looks to be a knockout!
Her first televised interview in quite some time, the ‘I Look To You’ belter looked stunning (to say the least) in tonight’s Entertainment Tonight exclusive.

With the film being hailed as Whitney’s “comeback” to the big screen (her first starring role in over a decade), fans and critics alike are anxious to find out if she can deliver. Certainly no stranger to criticisms, the last two years of her return to the spotlight have been greeted with mixed reviews – most of which have been lukewarm. And, with Jordin being cast to play a part originally promised to late R&B starlet Aaliyah, she too has been met with naysayers and will have quite the burden to prove herself.
Here’s hoping this film, as well as Houston’s next reported cinematic venture “Getting To Happy” (‘Waiting To Exhale’ pt 2), helps the iconic songstress reaffirm her oft-praised position.
Fans should expect ‘Sparkle’ in theaters in the coming months.

SOOOO SAD…. her singing voice is completely GONE!!!! She needs to lose weight. At least 15 lbs. Her speaking voice is trash. Jordin Sparks sings better than her these days. Wish she pay attention more to working out more on a stricter regimen. The acting clips look comical – very Tyler Perry like which is NOT a good thing. As usual an Akil production will be critically panned. I don’t see this getting above 60% from Rottentomatoes.com when this s*** comes out. SMH, the short outtakes look colorfully comical. UGHHH….

Anyways, glad to see Whitney is doing well and getting back to what she loves, music and acting. I will definitely will see this movie and the sequel of Waiting To Exhale- Get Happy when that drops. Congrats Whitney.
I love this woman so good to see her vibrant and excited about this movie. her and jordin seem genuinely excited and that they like each other. One of my fav movies. so i hope it lives up to the hype of this remake

It is so DISGUSTING to me how Black people don’t support their legends. It’s a disgrace. Whitney is getting money. She helped executive produce this movie. She has a huge following. I know that she’ll be successful. She sounded good in the singing parts as well. No amount of #1s will ever have Rihanna next to such greatness as Mariah,Whitney & Madonna. They have classics, and while Rihanna has fun catchy music hers simply do not measure up. Beyonce,Usher & Gaga are all extremely successful but not to the level that Mariah,Whitney & Madonna are.
