They may have been pitted against each other from the jump, but it seems there is nothing but love between Pop divas Britney Spears and Lady GaGa.
Because, following their infamous exchange at the 2011 VMAs, the ladies are reported to be working on a duet, orchestrated by NERD front man Pharell.
Details below…
According to Perez Hilton, Pharell has signed onto to produce her album and hopes to get GaGa and Shakira to work with her on the release.
On the project, he explained:
I have proposed to Jive Records (BritBrit’s) to bring the studio to Shakira and Lady GaGa and I thought it was a fabulous idea. I want to make it happen.
If this does come to fruition, let’s hope they never perform the end result live.
Because, unless the ladies are willing to adopt her ‘Night Of The Living Dead’ performance style, it wouldn’t be Britney’s interests to share a stage with either of them at any given time.
Either way, with Pharell on board, we can be sure the music will be fire from start to finish.

One more misleading title…no surprises there
Britney is going to take a break during 2012, so whatever she’s doing in the studio right now is in a very pre-mature and unofficial stage. I don’t think she even bothers to go to the studio yet. Pharell just churned out an idea of his that will probably never materialize. It doesn’t make an announcement.
Anyway, I hope Pharell will indeed be a part of the upcoming album. Pharell, Danja, Bloodshy and Avant, Billboard…all those urban producers that Britney loves to work with, yet the label hesitates to hire only to replace them with Dr Luke
She needs more creative control. Maybe if she gets to perform the songs SHE chose to release with no label intervention, then she may actually slay that stage like she used to…

For the person who said gaga would slaughter brit brit…they worked together on a song called Quicksand and their voices blend together beautifully and the song itself was a good piece of work…..anyways it was also reported that pharrell is to be the exec producer for her 8th album! I miss her…And I think Gaga learned form Bey that you should do little features as possible because that leads to an unfortuante reputation of dependency (i.e. females who use hoards of features to get a number one or get their singles to number one, because its barely impossible for them to sell a number of albums) and when you do work mostly with males because they can bring a new and exciting and differnt energy to your work. However, if you decide to work with another female never work with one who is not up to par with your talents beause a btich will drag you down. I would Love to see some different collaborations with Britney! She’s amazing! I think she should do duets with Selena Gomez, another Madonna one, a new Nicki Minaj one, something with Dev and the Cataracs, Kesha, Avril Lavigne, and I’ve always wanted her to collaborate with Christina Aguilera! I’m pretty excited about the Shakira duet. It would widen her already expansive fan base : ) Btw no one should hate on Britney! She did a free Mexico city concert for the fans who didn’t have the finances to pay to see her live. I read one fan letter that was so beautiful, that I was moved to tears. Britney’s dancing isn’t as intense because of all of the knee surgeries…Haters should try to show half of the talent and conviction she presents. You hate on her, but really, she’s quite an inspiration. Everyone has gone through some rough and trying times at one time or another. She was resilient enough to pick herself back up, and keep going. When she shaved her head btw, she actually stated that she never wanted anyone to touch her ever again. Are you people who constantly pick at her heartless? She is an amazing person, and at the very least deserves respect. She had a number one song in 1998 and then again in 2011. In my book, that’s quite the accomplishment. Btw check out her Sweet Dreams video set to the Marilyn Manson version of the song. It’s quite sexy and intriguing. Wouldn’t that be an interesting collaboration?

the only ones i have heard talk about “all the knee surgerys” britney has had are her fans. if it’s true, she may not dance as intensely as before but that doesn’t explain stiffness in her entire body.
