Ok Loud did 2.2 in 2010 and 3.4 in 2011 and if i am adding correctly that is 5.6. How did that jump to 6.3? BTW did 5.4 alone in 2011 and has until May before it is a full year 4 months, not 2 months.
And I don’t think anyone is discrediting the US charts? where did you see that? You keep bringing up beys chart position why? This post has nothing to do with Bey, it Gaga and Riri. But if you must just like in the UK Riri had her time on the charts and sold and now she sits at 19 while Bey sit at 6, (7 months later), but yall claim she i a local act. and yes Riri has sold over 200k more than bey in the UK, but in the US Bey has about 450-500k on Riri….but on top the topic at hand Congrats Riri, your vids are actually cool.

The reason Rihanna has never had #1 album is becauseL
1.) She released her last three albums in November/December – the most popular time for album sales. If she released it in January-May it would hit number one!
2.) She releases her albums after only one single, which means people are less inclined to buy the album initially until they know more songs.
So basically, the sales always stay strong, but the debut is somewhat underwhelming for the above reason! Anyway she is still the QUEEN!

Sigh, its not a competition between Gaga and Rihanna about who has the most Youtube views. It doesn’t really matter in the greater scheme of things, for an artist it is singles/album sales, touring and merchandise (mainly the latter two) where they make their money, social media is only useful for getting attention and letting people check out their music for free, try before you buy so to speak. Congratulations to both artists for doing so well, in the pop world at the moment it really is the girls who are running the world ;o)

While I understand your reasoning it is flawed. To begin she released her Loud Cd after 2 singles (2 #1 singles) album still did not go number 1 and only did 207k first and ending at about 1.6 to date…Nicki came out around the same time and did 376k no number 1 single and around the same number to date. Bey released I am…around the same time in 2008 and did 482k with 1 number one and to date is over 3x plat in the US.
Gaga released her album in May and did over a million and even if you take off 400k, she still did over 600k in one week. Hell Bey released in June and did over 300k with no number 1 single. Point of the matter is her US sales don’t stay strong, she has some hits on her album and then the rest is shit, US is about her singles because her album has no quality it is more about the single of right now kind of thing. For example, she has a number 1 single right now right for like 10 weeks WHY is her album just now going gold??? A Smash like that should be on GAGA’s level and killing billboard 200 with a plat plus. She has to thank the rest of the world for helping her save face with her album sales WW, without them Yikes! She’s no Queen, but she’s trying.

Beyonce releases like about 10 videos per album and doesnt get close! what they should actually do is to count all their videos, add total and find an average and then youll see who has the most vids on average per video.

Exactly, that was my point… its not Xtina, Britney and Beyonce’s fault that they existed and had a peak long before the Digital stage. so wats the point of comparing them to the likes of gaga, rihanna and Katy perry?
I mean some stans don’t really get it. There are inevitable trends… At times of whitney, celine and mariah, its all about vocals. Beyonce, Britney and Xtina its all about cuteness plus talent. Now on Rihanna, Gaga, and Katy its all about marketing. Thats the trend and its not anybody’s fault. again i enjoy Rihanna stuff.. got all of her hits on my phone.

Rihanna is a pop singer who sings other peoples pop songs quite often with other people: she’s like a cheep hamburger and you want to vomit. Mother Monster is a Performance Artist Song Writer Fashionista with vision and class: she’s like fillet steak – makes you satisfied.
