With a career spanning almost twenty years, and credited for writing every song she has ever released in that period, you could be forgiven for thinking Lil Kim was simply swimming in cash by now.
Well she’s not.
Because, for the last ten years- the ‘How Many Licks‘ Rapper has not been paying her taxes and now owes a seven figure sum to the US Government.

The above figure is the amount Kim owes to the US Government for not paying her taxes since 2002, despite numerous attempts to retrieve the money owed from her in recent years.
TMZ explains:
Lil Kim’s tax problems are well-documented and go back nearly 10 years. According to documents filed with the L.A. Recorder’s Office, Kim owes money every year from 2002-2009. The 2009 amount, $86347.85, was just recently tacked on — bringing her total $1,026,862.42.
Maybe if she spent less time worrying about Nicki Minaj and more time on her own problems, she wouldn’t be in this embarrassing situation.
Here’s to hoping the sales from ‘Black Friday‘ serve to help her during these tough times.

Its clear that though kim is credited on her songs, she actually pays the REAL writers any money she earns from them because there is no way a song that gets as much airplay as lady marmalade is not helping her out in some way.

First let me just say I think the lil Kim bashing is getting quite old.
