As if Miami wasn’t hot enough, Mariah Carey blazed it up with rapper Rick Ross in a M.I.A studio last night.
The duo were recording with hitmaker Jermaine Dupri for what we hear was a session for Mimi’s upcoming LP.
With a revitalised sound being something her career has been thirsty for, a collabo with the “Bawse” could be just what she needs. What she doesn’t need, though, is any of those late, lacking and redundant beats present on her last few albums. In many ways, this next record is make or break for her “present day relevance”. Here’s hoping she and team deliver the goods.

Looking great! Can´t wait for new music. Don´t like many rappers though but we´ll see. It can´t be worse than Madonna´s last one (only 3 songs save that album)
Plays “It´s like that” in honor of @poproyalty

YESSS!! Ricky Rozay doesn’t huff and puff over these lame techno/dance tracks….Maybach Music is soulful sounding with that signature Mariah R&B sound..I’m excited for the following reasons:
1.Curly Hair #throwback
2.Revitalized/Strengthened/Rested Vocals (See Gotham Performances 2012)
3.Bangin Body as Usual (Legs,T*ts, A**) lol
4. Mariah appears to be working hard and taking this next album seriously
MIMI DOMINATION IN 5,4,3…………

I’m beyond excited for this album. Working with Jermaine and collaborating with different artists like Ricky Rozzay is exactly what she needs for this album! Memoirs was a great album with a classic sound, but I wanna hear a variety of sounds from her! Somewhat hoping she’ll do at least one or two dance tracks for this album!

@DEANGELO me too! It annoys me because she’s done dozens of dance remixes for her mainstream singles throughout her career so I see no harm in her actually recording a track built that way for the original version. She slays on tracks like that. I also need my classic tracks like Honey, Heartbreaker, Fantasty, Dreamlover, Loverboy, etc. I need her to return to her original formula of releasing the lead single as an uptempo one during the summer. Obsessed was catchy but not what I was expecting. She needs to burn it up like the summers of 93/95/97/01.

We need collaborations with her and OTHER SINGERS ….. NOT typical rappers!!! That was her mistake on the other projects that didn’t do so well.
We need more of the “When you Believe” … “Whenever You Call” …. “The Beautiful Ones” type collaborations with people like Beyonce, Monica, Brandy, Luke James, ETC.
If you’re gonna go for rappers…at least get Drake, at least he can sing somewhere in the song and that would make beautiful harmony with you and him…something Rihanna and Drake could NEVER make!
