you need to relax for real. though i don’t agree that she was trying to lip sync to the backing track, it’s clear that she needs that backing track.
Her rapping was almost all live, and though she did sing live at most times, she relied very heavily on the backing track to carry her, and would have been unable to deliver a performance without it. This is evidenced by the times when the volume of her vocals is so high the backing track is harder to detect (1:25-1:40) vs 1:40-1:46 when the track gets louder and then the hook which follows where the backing track becomes dominant over her live vocals because, as you can hear from 1:25-1:40 her live singing is pitchy at best.
It’s a real shame how far down hill she’s gone… I loved her mixtapes and I even like this song, but I would respect her more if she just got someone else to do the singing because she was not born to be a singer.
