With new single ‘Ice’ burning up the Urban arena, Kelly Rowland has hit the promotional trail in support of the track.
Phoning into the Russ Parr Morning Show this week, the Destiny’s Child graduate and solo Grammy winner spoke on the cut’s video, its housing album, release window, and much more.

Why does it always seem like she’s trying to do 10 different things at the same time? why can’t she just focus on promoting her new single? this is the same issue that she had last year when “Here I Am” was released and she couldn’t properly promote it in the US because she was off being a judge in the UK. And to make matters even worse, when it was finally released over there the albums STILL flopped. She needs to do better and try focusing on getting her music career off the ground, although I’m sure that ship has come several times and sailed away each time.

I agree! She’s trying to expand her brand in different countries but they don’t seem to care about buying her music (check charts). Kelly’s main focus should be in the US!

Her new album will flop because she will be too busy in Australia doing a dance show and won’t be in the US promoting it. Same thing happened last year with Here I Am. It flopped because she was in the UK for X Factor.

Its funny you mention Ciara, cuz i was watching Goodies the other day and Ive honestly never seen her with so much drive, so much swag, so much energy. I think ppl were really attracted to that on the real. Passion and focus is everything in this game, it truly makes a different in how we receive music!

But she is flopping internationally. Face it, she spreads herself way too thin instead of allowing herself to first excell in one arena and THEN branch out.
Everybody know how much the promo around the second album was terrible like completely unfair after the succes of the first album.
So what i mean is, after that, you can see how much kelly loose confidence. The way she singing stole for example back in this time was good, she was confident.
Remember the sale of the second album was very low, colombia dropped her. then she decided to drop mathew and take control of her destiny.
The truth is she accomplish now what she suppose to do after the first album. and i think “when love take over” help her to get back her confidence.
Now she a grown woman and she working hard to upgrade a game.
She is international star succes or flop. She has more succes outside of U.S. period
and yes she’s not a superstar. not yet but she work for.
kelly has talent for sure but i admit sometimes she looks like a singer afraid to win and not focus.

I cant wait to see Kelly Rowland’s episode of Unsung, cause at the rate she is going she will be doing one next year. She needs to get it together quick before she has a bigger flop than HIA. After the success of Motivation there is no reason this girl isn’t at the top of everyone’s list. She needs to stay away from these damn realty shows in other countries and focus on her music here and promoting it and touring.
SIdenote: Her and Brandy on a tour would be great since they are friends and are both dropping this fall.

Wishful thinking has never gotten any where , we all want her to succeed but she needs to want is more badly than we do. Booking jobs outside the US when u ve an album on the horizone and its lead single licked without making immediate move to cushion the damage being donen then you are preping 4 a failure
There is a thing called prioritization and scheduling. This girl needs to lean to arrange her work and herself so that things dont clash. Take Here i am era for example, ppl were expecting a stronger choreography for LIOM but due to time constains we hot a motivation video part 2 we brighter lightening and scantily dressed men even the vid for Down for whatever was shot the same week and looked as cheap as hell. Ppl want u to blow us away this go round or ganging it and start making babies
Her team need to book her more performances so that ppl can see how good she is. ICE seem ok, but kelly need epic to get to where she deserves .
