Fans apparently could not wait to get their sights back on NBC’s top rated reality talent show ‘The Voice’ if ratings reports are anything to go by.
Despite a small dip from its season 2 premiere ratings, the hit show still managed to top other shows in its time slot an rake in an impressive 12 million viewers!
But, with news the show plans on extending its reign into 2013 for its first Spring-showing, a certain ‘What a Girl Wants’ singer has expressed to Billboard that she wants out:

“['The Voice] kept me away from my heart, which is creating my own music. It’s been a joy to be a part of other people’s journey, to be able to inspire and be a part of new singers coming up in this business … but I was staring to get really worried and concerned that I wouldn’t have the time to go and be an artist again.”
The singer continued, stating “I’ll probably be back. I just need to do my thing for a minute then I can come back and be that much better of a coach,” she says. “I just need a second to get back to me.”

The news may come as a disappointment to some, but to us it’s evidence that TeamXtina is not playing this time around and making her singing career her primary focus. After banking a hefty $10 million payout for her involvement on season 3 on the show and reaffirming the singer’s position in pop culture, we definitely are on Team Strike-While-The-Iron-Is-Hot!
With ‘F*ck Your Body’ on constant replay here at TGJ Headquarters, we anxiously await the singer’s announcements tomorrow (Wednesday) where she will reveal via Twitter the single’s due date on Itunes, video debut, and album title!

Is that the reason why Simon was so desperate to bring Britney on board? He knows that The Voice was a threat to his show, that’s why he kept changing coaches.
The Voice was consistent with ratings since season one. If X-Factor does well, it’s because of Simon desperately trying to create controversy for ratings.
