usher did the damn thing. not the best choreo. throughout. he isnt 23 any more so… but he made up with LIVE VOCALS and the live instruments made all the songs sound much better adding more dimension to the electronic computerized beats. the end with the light show and better choreography showed every1 who usher is, a true entertainer and performer. good dancing and live vocals that were 97% flawless and the offness in climax was not bad, made the song more real and added raw emotion to it. and i like how he changed climax.

Taylor swift also did well, vocally, she is the same with every performance, noever great or good, just decent enough, she wasnt as out of tune as normal, but great story telling and theme, she surprised me with the ball room theme and going evil going from the white dress. kelly vocally did well, but was boring. even since u been gone wasnt amazing. she just stood there doing up tempos. i rather her in sweats and no shoes performing than high heels and a dress. but i liked the american idol thing in the begining. kinda cheesy, but not as cheesy as the wanted and carly rae’s performances.

christina aguilera’s performances was not as bad, she knew how to hide her flaws for sure. good theme and she did well i think personally. better than the voice. she knows what her voice can and cant do, just like many other singers who rely on the backing track to do their more challenging notes, she decided to not do higher notes, rather the lower and not over sing

i was just expecting better seeing this is the first real live promo for lotus,the intro was nice,army of me i love then she should have followed with blank page or sing for me and end it of with let there be love,even the back ground singers sounded bad,what happen to christina? when i look at her anom performance at the mtv movie awards,hurt at the vmas,james brown at the grammys,something is missing now,i think she needs a rest for about 5 yrs away from the industry,spend some time with her kid,relax her mind,rest her voice and get it back in form and pull in the likes of diane warren,david foster,linda perry,sia,people of that calibre and work on a new album then come back out,drop all this pop crap and stop trying to compete with the lesser of vocals like kesha,rihianna etc and start producing music in the league of whitney,mariah and celine and truly give the next generation stuff to sing vocally with.

Yep. Usher is playing himself by trying to be trendy. The dance/pop music isn’t his style, he looks and sounds awkward doing it, and is never at his best trying to perform it on stage. And in turn it’s making him look like he’s getting too old to be able to perform like he used to, when in reality it’s more a case of it simply not being the style of which he was bred as a performer; so naturally he’s not going to be at his best trying to do something that isn’t truly “him”.
I really hope once this “era” (if you can call it that) runs its course, he returns to his former self.

My favorites were Linkin Park, Pink, The Gagnum Style guy with MC Hammer, and I liked the Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop part of Usher’s performance. Also, Swizz Beatz and company did a good job, but I was expecting more from Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Christina Aguillera. I expected those ladies to shut it down with the vocals.

Ok so majority of them actually put on a show which was nice. My standouts: Taylor swift (best of the night)my God girl I had no idea you had it in you like that! Thoroughly entertained . Close second pink! Amazing how she was able to deliver those vocals whilst doing all those physical stunts! Amazing. Usher, that’s how you open an award show! Kesha pleasantly surprised! The ok performances: Justin beiber (especially the first song) Nicki (it was rather boring til the last part with the choir and stuff and no doubt (it was fun for the most part). The worst of the night, Christina girl I was just confused after all that on stage and don’t even get me started on the vocals. Girl what’s going on xtina? Swiss, luda and Christopher that was just terrible! Especially swizz and Chris, luda was decent. The rest were ok nothing to write about…oh Stevie was and will always be great

The AMAS were better this year than they were last year and the year before that.
Usher—His performance wasn’t bad, it was just those awful song choices! Dance, Electro-Pop, Techno-Pop, is NOT FOR HIM! His voice is too soulful and R&B to do those types of songs, plus, they just sound bad.
No Doubt—loved then in the 90s and early 00s, but they’ve fell off and that single was horrible and Gwen sounded a strained mess.
Taylor Swift—I am amazed at how much her voice has improved. She used to not be able to sing
Kelly Clarkson—boring
Nicki Minaj—nice little performance. Shows that she has substance.
Kesha—used incredible background dancers, lasers, lightening, and props to distract from her horrible voice. Her body is shaped like spongebob squarepants
Christina—looks like a damn stank, fat witch! Christina was always a bitch/diva. She was always clowning people and always thought she was the shit. Honestly the only performance that really did it for me was Pink. She stole the fucking show to me. It was something different, interesting, entertaining and heartfelt.
Pink NEVER ceases to amaze me with an amazing outstanding performance. Whether it be a fun poppy performance or heartfelt serious one, they are always on point, vocals, energy and all. - Usher: apart from not liking him going trendy-pop… what more can u ask from him? He is 35 or so and I think he dances really well, still. He gives his all. And yes that was obviously lipped, at least for the most part. And I find it normal
- Carly Rae: Why did they alow her to perform? She can´t sing and she´s as bland as a performer can get. Never heard a song by that girl anyway
- The Wanted: Never heard a single song from them before. And call me whatever you want but I enjoyed that song. Guilty pleasure I suppose
- Kelly Clarkson: what can i say… at least she can sing and has a few catchy songs. I don´t care about her though
- Ke$ha: her music is crap. The end of the performance was entertaining and she put some effort at least
- No Doubt: I like “Looking Hot” and “Push and Shove”. They are not too good and not too bad live

- Stevie Wonder: He´s so great and his voice is the same as it was 30 years ago. Not one of my personal faves though
- PSY: that shit is funny. Nothing else but really funny
Overall I think it was at least entertaining. Probably more than the last couple of years

Now on to bigger and better things with the grammys (I love when they get it right and don´t give Album to Taylor and Song to Single Ladies
