At this point Rihanna was opening up for the Pussycat Doll’s in Europe. She was making 30,000 a show but she didn’t see any of that money because it was needed to fund her next album.” Which is now known to the greater public as a ‘Good Girl Gone Bad’.”

So that 777 tour WASN’T to promote her new album? That was pretty massive (and costly) promo for Rihanna. She did play the new album for the media and fans on board the first day. Every time you hear “diamonds” on the radio, that’s promo. Every time TGJ and other blogs write about her (this is probably why you saw 22 thousand post in a day about Rihanna over the last month on here, a slight ramp up from TGJ usual 10thousand post per day on Rihanna)counts as promo. Promo is letting folks know the artist has new music coming. Def Jam has thrown quite a bit of money at this project.

Its common knowledge that rihanna is more successful in the U.K. You can’t always try to up bey even against facts. And those who cry about rihanna releasing an album every year, and saying she is afraid that the public will move on, FYI,,,. I guess the public had already moved on when Bey released 4. Of course she was being inspired, borrowing, adapting and copying for her next project. After gathering so much inspiration the album sold less, in Bey’s Standards. Riri has released an album every year since 2009 and TTT still sold as much or better than 4 World wide, considering that it is 6 months younger. Either or both of these conclusion hold water in this scenario.

I was reading a forum on her, and people did not even know she had 6 albums out.
