Still unable to match feats landed by Taylor Swift, Drake and Lady GaGa, Rihanna‘s latest offering now holds at court at the 1,245,000 copies sold figure.
A little ‘slim’, considering the LP has now been out for a total of four weeks and is yet to move 600,000 copies in the United States despite record breaking successes boasted by its launch cut, ‘Diamonds’ and its follow up ‘Stay’ which is set to enter the UK Top 5 this Sunday.
Likely to hit the 2 million units sold mark by the middle of 2013, the project’s global run will undoubtedly intensify with the arrival of the singer’s forthcoming ‘Diamonds‘ tour, which kicks off March 8th and will see her grace both stadiums and arenas in aid of the LP.
Unfortunately, if its US record is anything to go by, it’ll be a long time before it enjoys Platinum certification there with her sales percentages decreasing week by week, selling less copies in one month than Lady GaGa’s ‘Born This Way‘ moved at full price, in a single week.

Sales are sales. No matter where they are from. 1 million albums sold in USA are “the same” 1 million albums sold in the entire world.
For Taylor, it’s more profitable to sell records in USA. Outside of US, her album sales’ profits are split with the distributors of her album. She’s under Big Machine in USA, but Mercury Records ship her albums in UK. So for every album sold in UK, the money goes to Universal Records, Big Machine and Mercury Records. In US, Mercury Records don’t see a penny of the sales.
Plus, radios pay for songwriters for each spin played in USA. That’s something that the rest of the world don’t do.

Brandy and Keisha are R&B artists. Rihanna is a pop artist. Compare Rihanna to the musicians in her genre…Lady Gaga, Adelle, Taylor Swift, Pink. I’m usually cool with Rihanna fans but you did that. It took 4 less than a month to sell one million and it didn’t have the holiday sales (Black Friday and Christmas) and the King didn’t even had a generic made-to-radio Lana Del Ray’s leftover trashy song like Diarrheamonds. UnaFLOPlogic is doomed to flop. It’ll struggle to sell 3 million like Talk That Flop did (DefScam better work on that discount). Her album is already falling out of the charts everywhere. Even in UK, which used to be her biggest market, her albums isn’t holding well. She performed on X-Factor UK for two nights and it didn’t help to hold it on the top 5. Her album is almost out of the top 10 and can’t stop falling like a shit in a toilet. I already see UnaFLOPlogic’s fate: DefScam will sell it for £3 on supermarkets like they did with Talk That Flop. LOL.

The problem with Rihtard is that DefScam keeps fooling people. Her singles aren’t consistent with the rest of the album. Who bought ‘Talk That Flop’ because of ‘We Found Love’ only found generic ghetto songs on it, one one song sounded like WFL. LOL. The album has been out for 4 weeks and just reached 1 million copies and that’s a bad thing? The album has been aided by one single in retrospect Rihanna would have 2 or 3 singles to aid her album in past cases.
Unapologetic is her fast selling album in the US nearing 500,000 in 4 weeks and it is likely Unapologetic will reach 1 million in spring 2013. The thing is pressed people on this site who to follow her move should know by now is that Rihanna is consistent album seller. Her positions may not be impressive but her albums always sell well in the end.
It is really sad Sam and the haters, you stay flopping while the Navy stays winning.
