Finally!

Six years after the release of her smash hit ‘Tambourine’, Rap’s original ‘brand machine’ Eve readies the release of her new studio album ‘Lip Lock‘.

Now, as to whet the appetites of the general public, she released footage taken from a recent shoot in aid of the campaign, giving some insight into what we’re hoping will be her strongest project to date.

With the pressure on many a Femcee to match commercial highs scored in their earlier days, here’s hoping Eve has forged cuts innovative and ‘catchy’ enough to push themselves in the event she isn’t afforded the radio play she needs.

For, as much as sales shouldn’t define how one perceives an album, a lot more is riding on this project than many a Hip Hop loyalist is perhaps aware of- considering its success could see Eve pick up the major deal she’ll need to truly dominate in the way she did at the turn of the millenium.

Sure, while we could never doubt her lyrical ability, we are worried about what might happen to Brand Eve if this project doesn’t smash…at least on a critical tip. So, with months to go until release, here’s hoping her studio sessions forge cuts akin to the genius below…
