When not incarcerated T.I. has spent the last few years sharpening his business savvy. And while much of that process has revolved around building his Grand Hustle roster and venturing into television, it appears his own music career is still top priority. So much so that the 32 year old is reportedly shopping for a new $75 million record deal.

TMZ are reporting that the aspiring mogul has reached the end of his 10 album deal with current home Atlantic Records and is looking to “explore his options” – be that staying put with a blockbuster deal (as outlined below) or shopping that deal elsewhere.

The said package is said to include:

- 3 albums
- 10-20 percent of publishing, touring, merchandise, film and TV rights
- Corporate endorsement deals
- Exclusive signing of all Grand Hustle artists

Somewhat astronomical for an artist whose last album, ‘Trouble Man’, only sold 179,000 first week in the US last month, T.I.P reportedly still has interest from the likes of Dr. Dre - who asked him to join him over at Interscope. While, Jay-Z is allegedly keen to bring the King Of The South over to Roc Nation. As at writing, TMZ assert that Sony Music have put a $50 million offer on the table.

While much of this reads like a ploy from Team T.I to influence whatever negotiations are on-going, it certainly makes for compelling debate. Like, is T.I. actually worth a $75 Million deal in 2013?

    Like I mentioned countless times…360 deals are becoming a way of life in the industry but people always want to debate you on some obvious shit, good luck to him though.

    I hope when CB’s contract ends with RCA he doesnt go to Roc nation but IDJ will want him especially now that his manager works there, Columbia or Universal is the way kid.

      What’s IDJ? I would like CB to get the hell away from RCA. He was simply grandfathered to them from JIVE Records. The way they pushed his CD back from May to Jully whcih killed all the momentum he had: In 1 week he would have had the opening of his Toy Line, 1st rt Show his 23rd bithrday culminating in the release of his 5h studio CD. The plan was well laid but RCA killed it.

      Alantic Records will also make a play for him now that a few of his acts on the CBE label have contracts with Alantic (i.e. Se7en). I don’t know where he should go but RCA has got to go…………………

        IDJ, Island Def Jam…

        I dont like them much but Rihanna, Justin bieber are getting loads of promo and their distribution, marketing is A – list level. The reason I dont like them is they are too “illuminati driven” if that makes sense…an artist has to be used to influence the minds of kids in certain way…sure other artists in different labels its the same but its less blatant and obvious…IDJ i guess is the most Mainstream label you could come across, Jayz’s Roc nation is under IDJ and Khanye is signed here also and I dont want chris mixing with these backstabbing devil worshipers…if Chris has to go super mainstream he will have to sell his soul but I want him to go to a prominet label were he will be the focus, Columbus(Adele,Beyonce are competition) but being the third biggest artist wouldnt be bad his young, Universal has the whole young money crew and Katy perry(Capitol Records) this a second option…Interscope is good with Gaga,50 cent etc but they arent known for artist investment & giving creative freedom.

    Its sad but its the truth.

    When MJ and JJ got their deals, similar to this, they were the King and Queen of mqinstream music. T.I – Not so much.

    Of course he is! He has a whole catelogue of hits, even though this past album didnt do as great 179, 000 is still a hell of a lotta album for someone that didnt release a strong single. Plus his acting skills and influence is pretty strong

    Good luck to T.I.

    He’s really going to have to deliver if he’s getting paid that much.
    Hard to do with physical sales and illegal downloads having such an impact on the industry.

    If he tours hard and markets his brand well (commercially) then he could recoup most (maybe even all) the investment. Tough times though.

    Yep Ti is a brand and he has every right to ask for 75mil. He has hot clothing line, he manages B.O.B, His Reality show, His Movies that he was the executive producer of Takers has mas made 100+ millions and prequel to Takers 2 in the works.
