According to the RIAA, the Lil Wayne assisted is – as of this month – certified double Platinum after selling more than two-million copies.
An impressive feat on many a front, the length and breadth of the achievement is best understood when considering the commercial plight of R&B in an EDM dominated music world.
Needless to say, this certainly gives Ms. Kelly added momentum heading into the release window for her fourth studio album ‘Talk A Good Game’. Due on June 18th, the LP’s current single ‘Dirty Laundry‘ has garnered praise aplenty since being rolled out on radio this week. It’s accompanying video, so we’re told, is set to shoot imminently.
For now, though, congrats are certainly in order!

As always, I’m anticipating her new album but, to be honest, I really don’t want to be let down like I was with “Here I Am.” <<<<<< THAT album was supposed to be the album where Kelly was making a particular statement about arrival (hence the title). Yet, the album fell short minus a few gems. Most notably, "Keep It Between Us." Brilliant and best song on "Here I Am."
I'm always here for Kelly but I want a masterpiece dammit. I want a Kelly album I can BRAG about. 🙂
