Kelly Rowland‘s run on the X Factor UK had several highs, yet a number of lows — the latter of which saw the Destiny’s Child diva leave the show in 2011.
However, if new reports are to be believed, the ‘Kisses Down Low’ singer may be set to return to the talent-search – this time on home soil.
Details after the jump…
According to The Daily Mail, Ms. Kelly is actively in the mix to take up one of the spots left on The X Factor USA judging panel which were recently vacated by departing stars L.A Reid and Britney Spears.
Sources close the national paper added:
“Kelly knows the X Factor, she’s aware of what it takes to be a judge and she’s also outspoken. Simon (Cowell) has always remained a fan of Kelly’s and she’s most definitely in the mix to join the judging panel on X Factor USA.”
Another name also in the running is Ne-Yo, who was suggestively coy when That Grape Juice questioned him on the topic earlier this year.
As tired as the TV singing show format has become, their ratings prove that they’re not (yet) putting viewers to sleep. Hence, any such role for Kelly would be an amazing look given the vast audience shows like this command and the platform they provide for a still-rising act like her. This is one decision we’d love to see come to fruition.
