Currently Down Under to promote her hit album ‘Prism’, the Pop force offered an “interesting” response when the ‘You’re Mine’ singer’s name was brought up.

As a Beyoncé fan, these Katy compliments don’t win me over. When Bey released her album, Katy was on twitter throwing up all kinds of love. Meh!! I still haven’t forgotten her snide remarks about “Beautiful Liar.” I don’t really give a s*** about what Katy said about Mariah, because I couldn’t care less about her. But I will say that Katy has a mouth on her that she needs to learn how to tame. Mariah’s “hip pop” sound was done long before her. Blackbox, C&C Music Factory, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Chaka Khan, Blondie, Jody Watley…even New Kids on the Block was mixing pop and hip hop when Mariah was making a name for herself singing those office radio ballads for secretaries. People kill me trying to cite Mariah as the innovator or curator of pop music mixed with hip hop. Nah, there were MANY doing it before her. She jumped on the trend when it was already starting to become widespread.

And while Mariah is and always will be a legend, she is not that big anymore since the late 2000’s. Beyonce came in 2003 and ravaged all of them other girls for the rest of 2000’s and 2010’s. She literally had no competion. NONE (which really explains her multiple Grammy wins compared to Mariah’s where she had lots of competition; Tina Turner, Celine Dion, Patti, Madonna, Aretha, ect…)

She then did jenny craig which got her body back at the end of 2011, So she released a mega hit christmas album, Had two babies and then got her amazing body back,2011,2012,2013 she has been working on her album which will be released this May, 2014, She released Beautiful whcich was number 1 in over 40 countries and the US she made it into the top 20, still a good job and was still a good hit, She got 18 million dollars in 2013 just for 1 season of American Idol, shes Been busy making a new album, Having 2 kids, Getting her body back releasing a christmas album and getting ready for a come back, Beautiful was a great lead single, Your Mine hasnt had the best promotion but I can just imagine her next single will be a hit, Her song thirsty sounds promosising a good song with a good video is all it takes for Mariah to be back on top and all you haters will shut up, just wait for the new album, the new songs the new music videos, live performances etc I just know she has something amazing up her sleeve!
