New Video: Nicole Scherzinger – ‘Run’

Nicole Scherzinger is certainly a trier.

Undeterred by the blink-and-you-missed-it performance of her new album ‘Big Fat Lie’, the former Pussycat Doll is pressing on with ‘Run’ – the third single from the UK released LP.

The video for the ballad, which is hoped will jump-start sales for the project, premiered moments ago. Check it out below…

It’s important to first highlight that the song is solid, lyrically engaging, and emotively sung. But, goodness gracious, how boring is it as a single? Not even its visually arresting video could stop us from wondering why, why, and why it’s being released.

That said, given that ‘Big Fat’ was slim on anything remotely close to a hit, the release of this (a well crafted song, not single) begins to make more sense. Slightly.

Still, we feel it imperative that Team Nicole really assess the mess she’s currently in and concoct a plan pronto. To put it bluntly, no one is “here” for these Hail Mary hymns she’s serving up nor the generic rubbish that were the two singles preceding. Folk want solo Pussycat Dolls. Is it really that hard to oblige?

I think that “Run” is one of Nicole’s most genuine songs till date. I really liked the direction her music took as a solo artist , specially in songs like “Aminjena” and ” Try With Me”. The public may be expecting more P**** Cat Dolls Pop from Nicole , but this is GOOD MUSIC. With the right kind of promotion , Run could be a hit. (A few acoustic performances, a Dance Remix and a radio deal).

I really like how Nicole is staying true to her character. She is very classy and her music reflects her class.
