During a promo trip to Big Boy In The Neighborhood this week, the ‘She Knows’ chanteur served up a potent reminder in the most unique way.
There to promote new album ‘Non-Fiction’ (due January 28th), the singer/songwriter was challenged to perform a non-stop medley of his biggest hits.
He obliged and turned in an impressive showing.

This was in the morning which is not the most ideal time for a singer to sing but he still delivered and sounded just like the studio version. Reminds me of when Usher did something similar with Big Boy last year. I’d like to see some of the new-age R&B guys do this on the spot [side-eyes Chris, Trey and August].

Well that’s YOU but Chris has not impressed me vocally on a live front in years. If he can’t deliver vocally when he’s prepped for a performance, what makes you think he’d be able to handle one that’s unprecedented like this? I like him but he’s no vocalist.
