Bruno Mars casts a funky shadow over his rivals with the jam ‘Uptown Funk‘ this year, giving the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Elijah Blake and Sam Smith good reason to consider him a threat with an epic new record.

What that record is? Only the fact that the song is now the longest running #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this decade!

Bow down to King Bruno below…

Billboard reports:

Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk!,” featuring Bruno Mars, is the longest-leading Billboard Hot 100 of the 2010s, ruling the chart for a 13th week. It’s also just the 10th single in the Hot 100’s entire history to spend at least 13 weeks at No. 1.

“Funk,” released on RCA Records, passes Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines,” featuring T.I. and Pharrell to take sole possession of the Hot 100’s longest command this decade. Here’s an updated look at the hits to lead for the most weeks since the beginning of 2010:

Weeks at No. 1, Title, Artist, Date Reached No. 1

13 (to date), “Uptown Funk!,” Ronson feat. Mars, Jan. 17, 2015
12, “Blurred Lines,” Robin Thicke feat. T.I. + Pharrell, June 22, 2013
10, “Happy,” Pharrell Williams, March 8, 2014
10, “We Found Love,” Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris, Nov. 12, 2011.

so many good songs on the chart that should actually be number one now like somgs from Sia and Sam Smith yet this boring (blow inspired tune)makes the feat and stayed there for over 3 months… eewww

  2. Domain April 2, 2015

Are we supposed to be suprised? People buy trash music these days and this is 100% trash

  3. Mark111 April 2, 2015

It’s something about the 5th year of the decade that you’ll get the biggest song of that decade. If I’m not mistaking, didn’t Mariah’s One Sweat Day and We Belong Together both were the most successful songs and came out in 95 and 05?

    • Skyfall April 2, 2015

      Mariah slays.

  4. Slay_Hive April 2, 2015

Congrats bruno!!!! At least It’s someone talented topping the Generic 100. That’s rare these days!! 😀

    • OMG Logic!!! April 2, 2015

The song is generic as the rest of the Billboard 100 though…

  5. Slay_Hive April 2, 2015

The Song Is Still Wack Af. That’s Not Rare Tho. 😉

    • Toni Is Better April 2, 2015

      • BeyRihLiyah April 2, 2015

does toni still owe the irs? why hasnt she been relevant since 96 why is she Mariah, whitney and celine’s adult contemporary lessor?

      • I STAN(D) IN LINE FOR HYDROQUINONE) April 2, 2015

wasn’t long when she had a number 2 tho it wasn’t 1 but hey it was 2 the closest to 1 so be reasonable

    • BeyRihLiyah April 2, 2015

no poor Ciara she has been flopping for 8 years she doesn’t have a top 5 ,10, 20 or 40 hit on the radio she doesn’t have a man she looks like a man and she has been in the game for 11 years and she’s still in the “i am an opening act” stage of her career when it comes to touring (she rarely books stages)

  12. Tyler Makiveli April 2, 2015

    SLAYAGE

      • metzo April 2, 2015

  13. Jamie April 2, 2015

This song irritates me and so does his straining voice.

  14. FutureCIARA April 2, 2015

    KING FUCKINGG BRUNO!!!!! SLAYYYYYYYY

  15. ~The Arcade~ April 2, 2015

Goodness gracious, 13 weeks (to date) Congrats… see kids its not all about the gimmicks and foolish antics that get you on top of the charts; Mark and Bruno have just proven that… BY MAKING & STICKING TO MUSIC!!! That’s all there is to it 😀

  16. Stephon. April 2, 2015

Congrats Baby Bruno! I love you so much. You’re the leading male artist of THIS era. And, I wish more success to him. He can dance, sing, write, produce & is so attractive (although he’s a midget). This song will be number 1 for at-least 2 more weeks. It’s starting to go down on the airplay charts & its no longer the most streamed song & most purchased. So, One SLAYAGE Day record will NOT be broken! Love you Bruno!

    • metzo April 2, 2015

      Hey Papi

      • Stephon. April 2, 2015

        DEAD-T! Hey Sugar!

    • OMG Logic!!! April 2, 2015

I pray to African American Jesus that you’re right. Bruno Mars is extremely talented, but this cannot be the song that dethrones One Sweet Day.

      • Stephon. April 2, 2015

Yes, I am right. I’ve taken a look at the Airplay Charts & Streaming graphs. The song is slowly but surely going down. Also, its no longer the best selling single in the country. But, I have a feeling it will somehow stay #1 for another 1-2 weeks. Definitely, not another 4 weeks. Unless, he promotes like crazy (even tho the song is OVER-played EVERYWHERE).

  17. #JACKIE April 2, 2015

    Tyler that c*** looks juicy!!

    • Tyler Makiveli April 2, 2015

      #MANDINGO

    • Stephon. April 2, 2015

YAAASS! I thought I was the only one, seeing that JUICY THICK ZICK… In that avi up-top… Making my mouth all watery!

  18. Taylor swifts number 1 fan!! April 2, 2015

Well….Taylor swifts 1989 has spent it’s 22nd consecutive week in the Top5 this week, so I don’t think taylor needs to be that threaten by the record, besides it’s mark ronsons song, Bruno is just a feature on it..

    • Stephon. April 2, 2015

Mariah’s “Music Box” spent 42 weeks in the top 5.

      • Taylor swifts number 1 fan!! April 2, 2015

Wow that is very impressive, taylor won’t do that, but compared to other artists in today’s market, Taylor’s doing very well:)

  19. OMG Logic!!! April 2, 2015

I can’t believe this garbage meaningless song is actually going to surpass Queen Mariah’s ‘One Sweet Day’ in 3 weeks. What has this world come to?

  20. #TeamTinashe Stan (“All Hands On Deck” Music Video Is Coming Out Soon) April 2, 2015

Everybody loves Bruno! Gosh there is so many albums I am anticipating this year.

  21. Alex April 2, 2015

Actually One sweet day is boyz 2 mens’ single ft. Mariah

    • Stephon. April 2, 2015

No the f*** its not! It’s a MARIAH CAREY & BOYS TO MEN SONG! It’s a duet not a feature. BYE

      • Skyfall April 2, 2015

        Read him hunty

  22. rihicon April 2, 2015

I don’t even like this song, it’s annoying. my favorite song by bruno is gorilla. but congrats

  23. LB April 2, 2015

SCREAMING!!! at 2neshit’s careers in tatters like they used an American Plastic surgeon.

  24. AmbeRussell April 2, 2015

he shoulda hit the studio and released a quick ep with songs produced by mark ronson to capitalize on the success of the song

  25. I STAN(D) IN LINE FOR HYDROQUINONE) April 2, 2015

I hated this and Blurred lines and yet they stayed so long at number one…

  26. Danny Bey April 3, 2015

One thing I hate is how ppl start hating a song just bc it becomes popular. Like its the cool thing to do to be a hater. Cuz yall wasn’t sayin this s*** when it first came out. Everyone was like “Finally something different on the charts” or “Finally some good music” etc etc. yall kill me. Would yall rather it be some generic ass EDM song like its been the past decade? Never satisfied. #bandwagonassconsumers

Anyways, the song may be overplayed but that’s what makes a #1 a #1, like DUH? And it still slays. Congrats Mark & Bruno.

  27. Somebody watching over you boy April 3, 2015

Congrats to him and his band boys

  28. Somebody watching over you boy April 3, 2015

    Congratst to him

  29. JOHNVIDAL April 3, 2015

I´m so happy he got this and not one of the models with a mic out there.
He is really one of the biggest talents in mainstream. However, a song like this really shouldn´t stay for 14 weeks or more. I mean, that´s too near of the total record, and this enjoyable song is no where near legendary or anything (still better than all the rest on that pathetic list of songs which have been #1 for more than 10 weeks this decade. Music industry these days…).

  30. Casual-T April 3, 2015

I am still astounded that in its 13th week atop the Hot 100, a song managed to still be #1 in all 3 metrics — sales, airplay, and streaming — though it’s declining point-wise in all 3. My guess is 15 weeks total at #1.
