Does she have 7 Grammys? Does she have 13 #1s? Has she sold over 175 Million Records? Is she the digital artist of the millennium? Icon Award? Fashion Icon Award? Got a movie grossing over 100M in a week????

  6. Meteorite April 8, 2015

No Shade, No Tea… I love P!nk but there is so many other artist / songwriter that deserved to come before her

    • TheElusiveLamb April 8, 2015

I would say with the success that’s she still having, this is actually the perfect time for her to receive this award.

      • Meteorite April 8, 2015

Oh absolutely I don’t knock that for a second that P!nk is having successful run. However Mariah is a phenomenal writer and I would love to have her credited for that, as well as many others.
I just feel that when artist get to a certain age the media and what have you act as if they (Mariah, Madonna, Janet etc.) never existed for whatever reason or occasion and make it seem like they’re desperate for some kind of relevancy when that is not true.

      • TheElusiveLamb April 8, 2015

Mariah already won this award in 2012 though love. 🙂

  7. TheElusiveLamb April 8, 2015

Congrats. My top favorite type of artists are musicians/songwriters.

    SLAY QUEEN! When will Stankhanna?

  9. Keri Qween April 8, 2015

I always support songwriters not those who add two words and call themselves songwriters

Pink is also a great performer !

      Lmao!

Congratulations to Pink this honor is so deserved. As her talent and hard work get passed over by artists who either have to do dumb stuff to keep their name in lights. Or artists simply less talented. You’ve got to admit whether you love or hate her Pink has been one of consistent artists of her generation platinum and better each go round.

  11. Molly April 8, 2015

She isn’t that much of a great writer imo.

    • Mark111 April 8, 2015

Pink writing her name in the top right corner is better than anything Uggly “wrote” and Clara’s career.

  12. Mark111 April 8, 2015

Pink write hits that last for decades. Well deserved for the underdog of pop. While the rest of the early 2000s girls are washed up, Pink is STILL doing it, I see her still being her for another 20 years.

  13. Jamie April 8, 2015

Well-deserved. She’s sick with the pen.

  14. Smart Water April 8, 2015

I thought she wanted to be black and make R&B music? What a phony

  15. Rihboy April 8, 2015

Definitely deserved! I love her and miss her!!!! Not a ciara Stan throwing shade. Ciara can’t even right herself out of a subpoena.

    • Rihboy April 8, 2015

      Write*

I´m not afraid to keep saying Pink´s music is too generic and safe. I can´t quite consider a huge talent when it comes to music. Overall she has a lot of talent because she´s also a great performer and has a voice. But music is bland.

  17. Al April 8, 2015

Pink is a great performer buy her songs can be hit and miss I hope they ain’t including that God Is A DJ s*** cause that was fukin awful bit like saying Ciara is the new JJ #IFLOP

  18. AnnaliseKeatingsNewWig April 8, 2015

Her first era was full of so much bops! It’s a shame she hated doing R&B music because she actually pulled it off so well

  19. SlayEra April 9, 2015

Song writing. Something fraudoncey will never EVER get an award for. Thief. imposter. Fraud. Go Pink

  20. Justme April 9, 2015

P!nk and Gloria Estefan are two of my favourite artist and both of them have received this award… I’m starting to think that this award is one of the few that is not “intoxicated” by the industry…
