It’s here!
Ariana Grande follows the soaring live showing of new song ‘Be Alright’ on Saturday Night Live last week with the release of its studio incarnation today.
The euphoric anthem is lifted from ‘Dangerous Woman,’ her third studio album (due May 20th via Republic Records) and was released to iTunes moments ago.
Really, though. What are you waiting for? A bodacious bop awaits after the jump…
Come all the way through, Ariana!
Dipped in 90’s Dance, the track retains a Pop-coated soulfulness thanks to Grande’s impeccable vocal chops.
Laced with hooks and boasting a memorable melody, this has all the makings of a radio smash while still sounding fresh and authentically mature.
If there’s one drawback, it’s that we’re still waiting for the songbird to fully embrace her budding divadom. By that we mean show off vocally ala the 90’s sound it channels. A super-charged concoction of belts, runs, and whistles after the bridge would have been the cherry on top.
Still, the ‘Dangerous Woman’ album is easily shaping up to be one of our most anticipated of the year.
We’re Waiting for #Formation aka B6 though.
(Sigh) so we back to Mariah vocals with a modern day sound. Can we just go back to the dangerous woman sound please!
You act like your fav hasn’t stole someones sound before… Amerie says hiiiiii!

As we vow to use our discretion when speaking on such traumatic events that happened in celebs’ life regardless of our personal opinion on them, any comments from you that are akin to this will be deleted in the future and you will be blocked from this site. Thank You.
Rich Harrison worked with Amerie on her first album but they did not explore the 70’s funk samples until after 2005 (I.e after Crazy In Love already dropped in 2003). 1 thing is a complete carbon copy of CIL, so Amerie is the one who copied it + Amerie was the one bowing down to Destiny’s Child and lipsyncing to Beyonce’s vocals on Lose My Breath. Come correct next time @Möldy-V*****!
Your comment about ‘bitter blacks’ was so DISGUSTING that it got completely erased, so I’d advise you to keep that cöcksucker wired shut!
Are you hailbeysus? I think not so please sit your attention seeking ass down. #ImAboveYou
@Moldy-Vãgina Simmer Down Sir! Young Man, you were the one that was asking for my attention and approval, with your ‘Annalise is so right’ comment! 😆 You were the one that was begging the hive to leave you alone but you keep stalking to their comments. Man the fvck up!
But all shade aside, this song is lit. I liked her vogue performance she did on SNL.
It was great indeed, but I was a little upset as to how she had voguing choreography with no black male dancers. It just didn’t seem right and historically accurate to me. Yet, she still found a way to incorporate those white twins she has dancing for her, even though they were stiff with the choreography.
Its a nice idea that doesn’t go anywhere. Considering the song is under 3 minutes it just plods along.
When you think of 90’s dance songs the had fierce vocals, if you think of CeCe Peniston’s Finally or Kim Simms To Blind to See It the vocals match the pulsing beat, but this is just coasting.
I would say nice try but go back to the studio and re record some of it
I like it but I agree with your criticism. It needed to go to another level before coming to a close.
Didn’t know Mariah had a new song
She slays cant deny
Alright! You know what? I’m buying tickets to give shows on her next tour. I don’t even care how expensive they’re gonna be. It’ll be her first $100,000,000 grossing Tour, anyway, so why not go all the way out for it with the support?
Ari…. i love everything you’re doing right now. This is exactly what i wanted from you. My Everything was too drenched in pop with not enough emphasis on the r&b but now I’m just loving that your voice is front and center again. Feels like Yours Truly (still a severely underrated gem from 2013)
You don’t like “Be My Baby”, “Why Try?” and “Adore”? Her pop songs are goodies, to be honest. You can’t go wrong with that voice.
Cute song, too bad it’ll flop just like Flopcus.
Shut the f*** up cake like lady Gaga/centurion/bill Cosby stan/barb-wire, no one even likes you and the barbz don’t claim you zlut. You’re as annoying and irrelevant as diabetes clearly bothered (by Rihanna)
Lmaoooo you better drag
Really @Arianator Barb? Lmao, you could’ve said all of this with your real account.
Kii no lies told! I access TGJ from my phone. I get email notifications whenever someone leaves a reply on a TGJ post i’ve commented on. Whenever i see the gravator pic in the email i click it and it legit takes me to mrminaj93 who happens to be @ArianatorBarb Gravator account LMFAOOOO!!!
I said it before, but I can’t stress it enough, Ariana is versatile! It’s hard to sound authentic on a POP, R&B and Dance cut. I’ve heard her take on all of it and I feel she nails it each time! She actually adds a little to genres I’m not so big on! I expect her upcoming album to be a really good listen!
I like this new direction she’s taking, makes me wonder if her ex-manager was holding her back and giving too much attention to Justin Bieber
I like this miles better than dangerous woman. Her upbeat songs always make me bop. Still sounds juvenile, but vocals make up for it. It should do well. It caters to kids as well as adults!!! I’m anxious now to see what else she is bringing.
It could’ve been better. It falls flat after a while.
Sorry but it’s time to switch labels and stop licking dougnuts…
Love this!!!!!
this is boring…
This song is ok! But she definitely slayed me with “Dangerous Woman” I’m in love with that song ! & the live performance on SNL was amazing
The song has potential but it’s missing something.
DEATH @MOLDY V***** BEING CLOCKED AND DRAGGED BY HER PUBES FOR THE 92826262718172 time!!! Poordat she even fled the scene kiii!!!
I think it’s just missing climaxes and a bridge. It’s the same steady sound throughout.
The song is ok
