The ‘Backstabber’ belle’s plans to perform at the ceremony were blocked by Dr. Luke who feared she would use the platform to confront him over allegations that he raped her.
Now, it seems he’s had a change of heart.
Read the statement he released via his representatives below:
His label, Kemosabe Records, told The Associated Press on Thursday that they are approving the performance after Kesha reassured them she was not going to highlight their ongoing lawsuit onstage.
The statement read: “Now that Kemosabe has obtained assurances, that it is relying upon, from Kesha, her representatives and Dick Clark Productions that neither Kesha nor her supporters will use the performance as such a platform, the approval has been restored.”

He is just throwing her around like a little rag doll and it’s unfair. Let’s be honest here. If he didn’t give her permission, every celebrity he’s worked with and Kesha’s fans would’ve dragged him through the mud and the fire. So, he’s just trying to save face here by giving her permission. Once a controlling monster, always one. Read between the lines.

Poor Kesha! I really hope this performance is full of emotional outpouring and conviction from her heart. I’m sure it’ll help the single to cross the top 40 too, after re-entering the chart. I wish her the best of luck in all of her future endeavors.

Be careful of those contracts. She could just sit still for 6 to 8 years while it dies, but she’s White and will look 45 by then.
This is sickening that this girl has to obtain “permission” from that man to perform…
She has to keep working for this guy because of her contract and now he controls her professional moves. This is sick !
How can she evolve as an artist and make good music with pressure of ” you can’t do that, you have to to do that” mode.
Let’s be honest, Ke$ha was never meant to be an artist with longevity. This case kinda made people interested in her again.
