That Grape Juice were on hand at the 2016 BET Awards and so too were Kelly Rowland‘s new girl group June’s Diary.

Their appearance was fitting given that the five-piece were pieced together on hit BET series ‘Chasing Destiny.’

With season one wrapped, the soulful quintet have wasted no time servicing material to the masses.

Indeed, they used the ‘Awards platform to debut the video for their new single ‘L.A.N.C.E.’

Speaking with our girl Megan on the red carpet, the collective – comprised of Shyann, Kristal, Gabby, Ashly, and Brienna, spilled on their debut album.

Watch above as they reveal whether mentor Kelly will feature on the LP; they also perform an impromptu acapella of Drake‘s ‘Hotline Bling’ – which was all sorts of amazing.

I love them already! I love the first single but it’s to slow I need something faster ladies! You know these kids these days move fast even though I apreciate it all

Believe it or not, they might kick the wall down for this generation having groups!!! We need a hot girl group with the total package to shake it up…dk3 almost had it…but them heffas phoney!!

Like Kelly told june…communication is the key! And it is!

  2. King z June 29, 2016

Good job. Not feeling the group name but I’m sure it will grow.

I’m proud of jelly and these girls. I see big things for them as long as they act on the momentum

    *kelly I meant

    • Fancy BISH June 29, 2016

      I don’t think you’re ready for this kelly lol…yaaaas

I don’t think their debut single should’ve included the N-word (and a**) in the title. It’s cool on an album cut or in the lyrics, but in the actual title? IMO they’ve just limited their audience to the BET/urban consumers. Where can they promote this song?

They’re really good aesthetically. All of them are beautiful. They’re also talented singers, but no shade they need to work on their harmony. It’s not bad, but it’s not amazing either. They sound kinda high school chorus-ish but they’ll get better once they learn each other’s voices.

    • Danny Bey June 29, 2016

You need your ears checked. You must not have watched the full performance of this particular song on the show. Cuz their harmonies are sickening

      • SixInchHeels, June 29, 2016

My ears are perfectly fine, and yes I saw the full performance. I said their harmony isn’t amazing, which it isn’t. I have been spoiled by the likes of DC3, En Vogue and SWV who had tight, beautiful blends. JD sounds very chorus-y which I’m not too fond of.

Good job ladies, beautiful talented, and y’all gel. We need a new Black girl group and we need the black community to support these ladies. Us as black people always talk about how we want this and that but when we get it we don’t support it. So make sure y’all watch the video and buy the single on iTunes!!!!!

Now we need a R&B male group !!!

I love them so much. They’re beautiful and talented.

  8. cocobutta June 29, 2016

Blend is so crucial and they have that in abundance. Once they mix bit more softness and texture to their acapellas they SOUND OUTRAGEOUSLY SUPERB.

Sound well polished for a new group. Prefer them live than studio versions at this stage but very sure that’ll change

    • SixInchHeels, June 29, 2016

I agree but then again I’ve been spoiled by groups such as DC3, En Vogue and SWV lol. They’ll get there.

  9. Coolness June 29, 2016

Visually, they are stunning but I need them to come correct with their material. I want this TRAP&B trend to DIE a quick and VERY PAINFUL death! Just sick of the way it rids genuinely talented singers such as these girls of their individuality. I think the song having such a strong urban appeal is a way to counteract 5H who have the pop audience on lock.

People are keep saying what they need to do to gain a bigger audience. Don’t worry about that. If you like them support them and stop acting like your a CEO for a record label

    • Danny Bey June 29, 2016

And the church said AMEN!!! Exactly!!! Stop worrying about who is and isn’t listening to them. If YOU like them, support them! That is how you gain a bigger following. By fans continuing to support and promote them!

Im ready to see them perform!

    Boo.

Person 1: “Man, there’s no real female r&b groups out today! The only girl group out is fifth harmony but they only make pop music not r&b.”

Person 2: *turns on “L.A.N.C.E.” by June’s Diary.

Person 1: “Man I’m telling you, there’s no REAL female r&b groups out today! If only there was a new girl r&b group with real soul music out. Well too bad there isn’t!”

    • 2bad2bme June 29, 2016

Well we know you root for dry losers anyway by the girls you think that slay in your Name!

  13. 4everBrandy_Ci June 29, 2016

        And you need help

  14. ???????Chile, take this “Itty Bitty Piggy” to the market and make sure you hold her hand while crossing the street!??????? June 29, 2016

All I could remember was shaking my heard in disbelief when watching the music video on the BET Awards Preshow. I seriously can’t believe that Kelly would willingly allow them to follow through with that single. The next single better be worth the wait.

  15. Jay June 29, 2016

Kelly Rowland please LISTEN TO US THE CONSUMERS. No cussing, slang, trap, and too much skin. Clean it up. Please.

  16. ESSENCE_OF_SEAN June 29, 2016

    I LOOOOVE THEM!

Not only are they beautiful, But very talented. Love those harmonies. I haven’t heard no s*** like that since DC3. Giving me 90s teas! When you had to know how to sing and do riffs and runs. I also so a video filled with solo clips of each lady and just wow! I will be supporting.

  17. Usual Observer June 29, 2016

Call me old school but I believe ANYONE who solicits money from the GP and calls themselves a singer/rapper should be able to do what those beautiful ladies just did at the drop of a dime. I really hope they stick together! They have what it takes. Kelly, you can’t drop the ball, mama.
