For all the perks, being an artist has its drawbacks; and as history will tell it, some especially difficult moments for members of groups. Just ask Fifth Harmony star Normani Kordei.
Parallel to the quintet’s growing success has been debate among fans as to the ladies unity.
20-year-old Kordei found herself at the centre of said scrutiny from a small but volumized pocket of the group’s supporters, who – after an interview she gave – tried to pit her against one of her bandmates.
No longer willing to be silent, the singer has responded and here’s what she had to say…
Eloquently put!
Here’s the interview that started the chatter…
How the hell did someone turn THAT interview into something ugly? Wow.
Well I think it has more to do with them not appearing like a real band or like they like eachother daily rather than that interview clip. Though if you are bff or close with anyone in life one word to describe them should be simply to find and or do on the spot.
?
I still don’t buy they like eachother and or even want to be around eachother. And Camilla stay doing too much.
Well stated. Stay true to yourself girl, and rely on God. Misery loves company, and those individuals are clearly miserable.
Btw, she is so pretty.
Huh? There was no shade! Just another case of always trying to bring a successful talented black person down!
It has nothing to do with her being black. The whole group gets backlash of rumors of them not liking one another especially; them all not liking that Camilla girl. Stop making everything a race issue
And as usual, another typical delusional response. This is America, the country that was built on racism. You are clearly asleep if you honestly think her dark skin has nothing to do with the the bs she’s getting.
I get a Beyonce vibe from that Charizard girl. It’s clear that she wants solo success and using this band as a stepping stone. But she’ll end up like Nicole Schondojfdn;jfbjf than Beyonce by a long shot.
Yea, chipmunk will never beYoncè.
Reminds me of when the media tried to tear Bey down back in the DC days. Always trying to tear our beautiful successful black woman.
I’ll have to disagree. The public saw right through that DC crap. She was put up front, sung most of the songs and managed by her dad.
She was the lead singer from day one… Bey Aint no backing singer…
Racial reasons or not, it is clear that Normani is likely dealing with targeted scrutiny. I wonder if the response was posted without the input of FH/label heads because a more sound focus would be to see how this dynamic will play into the large group dynamics rather than a shift to Camila.
Yes, Normani has the right to self-advocate on whatever issues but there will be results (good, bad, indifferent) as to how this conflict pertains to their management and promotion.
She’s pretty much talking about exactly what I see in these comments. Yall criticize these girls on a regular basis and swear up and down that they will break and that they have no star power. They’re living out a dream that yall are jealous of. All yall do is tear black women down in these posts.
spilling some crazy truth today.
I knew it. Like clockwork, I called it when they first started making their name. She’s the only black girl, dark skinned, and the second they break through she’s gonna get the first wave of bullsh*t. Happened with 3LW, happened with 702, Danity Kane, etc. Sisters need to watch their backs if they’re gonna join a group full of white girls. White folks have proven time and time again that they are not to be trusted.
Wow
