Kanye West and Drake heavily alluded to a collaboration album last month – and now it’s official.

Speaking to Vogue about his Yeezy Season 4 line, 39-year-old detoured to discuss his joint project with Drizzy:
“We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio. We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.”
The as-yet-untitled set will arrive on the heels of Drake’s blockbuster ‘Views’ project and West’s polarizing ‘Life of Pablo’ LP.
Both acts have enjoyed success with joint efforts in the past; Ye with Jay Z on 2011’s ‘Watch The Throne’ and Aubrey with Future on last Summer’s ‘What A Time To Be Alive.’

Drake has been teetering on overexposure in the last year and a half or so. However, he should by all means strike while the iron is hot. His current streak of success reminds me of when Urban music male artists like Eminem, Nelly, 50 Cent and Usher dominated the singles and albums charts in the early to mid 2000s.
Concerning this joint album, I think it’ll generate a great deal of hype. Kanye is basically reason why a Drake can thrive in today’s Hip Hop world so I’m guessing this is more of a homage thing rather than the former trying to cash in a currently more popular artist.
