Fergie is back. Again.
After teasing new music earlier this week, the eclectic songstress has returned with single ‘Life Goes On.’
Mellower than preceding release ‘M.I.L.F Money,’ the mid-tempo is serviced as the latest single to be lifted from the Black Eyed Peas star’s long-awaited sophomore album ‘Double Duchess.’

After scoring (‘L.A Love’) and boring (‘M.I.L.F’), it’s super smart of Fergie Ferg to bench the uptempos in favor of something mass appealing. Even if just for now.
‘Life’ is rich in radio replay value and is thematically is spot-on. Particularly given the current sociopolitical climate in the US.
After the start-stop comeback campaign, will it be enough to get things popping again? We sure hope so. Time will tell, though.

I enjoyed it. It does seem very strategically chosen for a release after the election results.

Not to mention the EDM-Trop-House-Pop sound has been working on radio lately. Then you have her rap which adds the Fergie-ness to it.

A much better melodic single that could easily sit well on radio. I hope it has some success there! Rooting for you Fergie. Keep up the great work, this is such an improvement from “MILF $.”

When do we get the album, or are we waiting for a surefire hit? Might have to find a strategic week and then drop it like Gwen and least get a # 1 album.
She can keep it. Her, Gwen and Nelly F took too long of a break between albums.

On a serious note: she should release an album and that´s it. Gwen ended doing it and it wasn´t that bad at all (the sales I mean). She sold like 60 or 70k copies first week if I remember correctly. Fergie could easily sell that I think. She´s not going to have a bigger success than that, so I don´t know why she´s waiting. I always say it: these mid 00s girls didn´t make any special impact as to secure interest in their careers years later like THAT.
I think that some of them did have an impact tho. Fergie was literally the biggest thing in music. She had like 5 singles from 1 album that were huge. They just didn’t play on there success well. People bash Rihanna for brining out albums or albums but the way she played the game after GGGB success was brilliant. Fergie should have done the same.
Girl Fergie did just ok. Her album sales were nothing crazy. #1 singles don´t always mean much (see Rihanna 🙂 ). Rihanna herself would be nothing at this point if she had stopped for a while like you yourself just said.

I like it but where’s hungry that would have been dope unless she saving it like Rihanna did with kiss it better which I f****** love fergie come on with the album la love was pumped last year it did very well I love her either way

This should have been the first single. It’s a great one too. It’s a Fergie single.. Great track. She only released one other single besides this.

Fergie hasn’t released anything worthwhile individually or collectively with BEP since 2009.
Every artist has an expiration date,some just refuse to go when they’ve reached theirs.
She,Gwen,and Nelly F. had potential to still be ruling the charts in 2016 but waited so long to release new material.It’s hard to maintain that status after a decade and mediocre music here and there. None of what Fergie has released so far are has been worthy of the dutchess,NONE!!
This is closer to the Fergie I want. Just sing and leave all the gimmicks for the artists who need it.
