Drake Now Has More Hot 100 Hits Than Any Other Solo Artist EVER!

Published: Monday 27th Mar 2017 by Rashad

If you thought 2016 was a good year for Drake, your jaw will drop when you see how great his 2017 is going (post-Grammy snubs).

The rapper unleashed his latest project, ‘More Life,’ last week and has been steamrolling the competition since.  In addition to nabbing the year’s best first week sales with the “playlist album,” snatching the honor from Ed Sheeran‘s blockbuster album, ‘Divide,’ Drizzy dethroned himself by topping ‘Views’ for “best 24 hour and 1 week streaming…ever.”

Now, after all of that, he’s left his Young Money mentor, Lil Wayne, in the rearview with a jaw-dropping record.  Find out what inside:

…with all 22 tracks from the set, as well as two others, on the Hot 100 at once, Drake passes Lil Wayne for the most charted titles among soloists (154) in the Hot 100’s 58-year history, while breaking his own mark for the most simultaneously charted Hot 100 titles in a week (24).

Drake also rewrites his own record for the most Hot 100 debuts in a week, sending 21 songs, all from More Life, onto the list for the first time.

Here is an updated count of the acts with the most Hot 100 entries all-time:

207, Glee Cast
154, Drake
135, Lil Wayne
108, Elvis Presley
91, James Brown
87, Jay Z
82, Chris Brown
81, Kanye West
77, Nicki Minaj
75, Ray Charles

Note:  Of his 154 appearances on the chart, 103 of them were as the lead artist.

*****

The announcement comes just a week after news surfaced his Young Money sister, Nicki Minaj, had more Hot 100 entries than any other female in history (a reign she extended this week with the entry of Jason Derulo‘s ‘Swalla’).

With Lil Wayne now having the second-most Hot 100 entries of any solo artist in history, it’s safe to say that Young Money reign just won’t let up!

I had no idea Chris Brown had 82 entries!

    • Kris March 28, 2017

It is quite shocking but let’s not forget, Chris Brown was poised to be the next Michael Jackson. Probably the most likable artist of his generation pre-Rihannagate. It’s such a shame a kid with mad talent but also very human was not able to live out his potential because one mistake.

      • Jasmine March 28, 2017

I disagree. I think Chris has lived out his potential and will likely continue to achieve many more accomplishments under his belt. He will get more acting roles, more music albums, and more hit records so what are you pretending like he is already deceased?

    • HiHiElsie March 28, 2017

      Wait more than onika

  2. Shakira Stan March 27, 2017

    Nicki is a garbage w****.

    • CZeal March 28, 2017

The fact that radom ppl that have never met that woman would support you in saying something so vile and reckless is pathetic. To even put that into the universe you must be an awful person to get to know.

  3. Hur March 27, 2017

    How many are NUMBER ONE?

    • MusicFan103 March 27, 2017

      Only three I’m pretty sure.

      Rihanna “What’s My Name?”
      Rihanna “Work”
      Drake “One Dance”

  4. HailLegendBeysus March 27, 2017

Woah!?!? Didn’t even know Fistopher Brown had so many Hot 100 entrees! Anyway congrats Drake!

  5. LadyEmpress March 27, 2017

Wow what an accomplishment. Get it Drake! I am not crazy about More Life but he be doing his thing.

  6. Fashion Icon March 27, 2017

  7. Lmfao_Hoe March 27, 2017

Where are his #1s and ya shady as hell to for ignoring that Chris has that many yet claim he’s flop yet his career and himself still here. ?☕

    • FAF March 27, 2017

And Chris does more features than nicki

  8. IG: @mixedboy March 27, 2017

    This is just sad

  9. Surprise..(DEC 2013) March 27, 2017

    • FAF March 27, 2017

The keyword is ENTRIES half these songs he didn’t promote they’re album tracks why would anyone remember them?

Never knew Bobby Biege had that many entries. Gotta admit that he does make catchy tracks

    • Kwinzy March 28, 2017

Bobby Biege?! Lmao leave us liteskins alone

There’s a reason why only top 40 are called hits. This isn’t a feat imo, I know, “but you stan for Rihanna’s BB stats”. The diff from Rihanna having 14 #1s, 30 top tens, 22 top 5’s and Drake & Icki’s numbers, look who’s on top of these list. Rihanna has joined and surpassed greats a& legends, Drake’s list has Glee ruling it. I still think whole albums should not chart, BB need to change the rules to official singles only.

    • JOHNVIDAL March 28, 2017

Look stop it Rihanna is not on that level either. It was only achieved thanks to non stop single releases for 7 or 8 years with the most radio friendly possible sound and also a few features with the right hot people. Where are her album sales records? That´s what I thought 🙂

  12. MusicFan103 March 27, 2017

Streaming is ruining our charting process. Why didn’t they just create a new chart: The Streaming 100.

Beyond me. Oh well! Lets do this. I guess.

    • PaperOrPlastic March 27, 2017

I AGREE!!! They Should’ve Added A New Streaming Column Instead Of Adding Streams As A Count. It Gives These Artists Some Room For Their Ego, Which In My Opinion Is Not Well Deserved. Now I Gotta Be Careful On Clicking Certain Videos & Tracks.

  13. Tuh March 27, 2017

Will his 154 hits stand the test of time or be considered classics is THE REAL QUESTION here! Yeah, I wonder if anyone will be singing ‘Worst Behavior’ or ‘HYFR” twenty or thirty years from now. BUT would you look at Ray Charles and James Brown?! True artists, visionaries!!!! Influencers of generations and generations.

  14. Kendrick Slaymar March 27, 2017

I don’t salute any of these artists who depend on streaming to boost their accomplishments. When Billboard started factoring in youtube views and counting every 1500 streams as one album sale it basically diluted the hard work of legends. They even counting SoundCloud listens. What’s next? how many autographs the artists sign?

    • blue March 27, 2017

what hard work of legends? you mean when labels actually spend money on promotion, payola, and buying their artist’s records? or the fact that there was literally no real competition for the bigger artists?

different times, look at the actual data instead of just talking out your ass

      • JOHNVIDAL March 28, 2017

What hard work? Seriously??? What about facing the crazy standard and competition there was back then???? Trying to survive to those standards actually made some of them go mad or ruin their lives. So hmm yeah it was a lot of hard work. Unlike now, when mediocre models can make it to these supposed special lists of chart records. No competition? What the hell are you smoking?
At least Drake has way more album selling power that someone we know anyway… 🙂

  15. Jamie March 27, 2017

He’s not leaving a mark or impact on music IMO. Should he stop doing music, he wouldn’t even be missed. His music has no depth or soul.

  16. JuJu March 27, 2017

    YASSSS Daddy slay!

  17. Cough Cough March 27, 2017

TBH when your whole album can chart it really takes away from the accomplishment. Totally waters it down and makes it less effective of an achievement.

    • Credits March 27, 2017

Right. More power to him but I find this ridiculous.

  18. blue March 27, 2017

    20/154 are top 10

    and only 3/20 are #1
better then nicki but cmon! the sexism on this site is ridiculous, last week you were all tearing nicki down for the same type of accomplishment but because its drake(a man) nobody says anything?

    • Danzou March 27, 2017

      thank you

  19. blue March 27, 2017

i feel like billboard should limit chart entries to just official singles or songs sent to radio at the very least. because some of these records are silly, the next artist to release an album of 25 tracks will break this record…

  20. AmbeRussell March 27, 2017

I don’t care that streams help charting, bit what makes me mad is how a whole album can chart while back in the day, you had to actually release a record to radio in order for it to count. People are saying this isntba real album with no official single, well his charted songs shouldn’t be official. Like many have said above, there should be a separate chart simply for streams. Ray Charles and Elvis and James brown had to actually send songs to radio for them to make their achievements, while the newbies can just get songs bought and now streamed and get every single song get on the chart, and fall off the following week

  21. Mariah Carey March 27, 2017

    Who?

  22. Boosie March 28, 2017

I don’t think this article should say EVER i think it should say SINCE streaming and downloads because that’s where the majority of popular artists nowadays gain their accolades.
There was a time when people whould queue around blocks at tower records for album and single releases as well as concert tickets, neither tower records or queues exist anymore except for apple products and sportswear

  23. Kwinzy March 28, 2017

I like Drake, I really do but he is in no way a rap legend. The whole Young Money camp is mad fraudulent.

    • Jamie March 28, 2017

True, but back to us Quentin…where were we?

      • Kwinzy March 28, 2017

        Describe yourself…

    • Jamie March 28, 2017

I am…ALL YOURS!!! That’s all the description you need baby.

  24. WhereisDrake March 28, 2017

In other news.. He rescheduled his Amsterdam show for the 3th time yesterday. Kept the crowd of more than 15k ppl waiting for over an hour and then claimed he was sick. But he knows he is well enough to perform a day after.. Ppl are saying he was puking backstage because he couldn’t handle the Amsterdam herb..

  25. King B March 28, 2017

    RIP music.

  26. JOHNVIDAL March 28, 2017

I´d say “yet another joke” instead of “yet another record”. These supposed records and several types of “success” are pathetic. Only thing out now doing it REAL is Adele when it comes to records. End of the pucking story.

  27. Summer tyime tran pico at your best March 29, 2017

    Awesome
