Word of Mariah Carey’s diva behavior has been as much of a mainstay over her illustrious career as her chart-topping hits and golden voice have been.
From rumors of outlandish demands to serial tardiness, the pop icon has rubbed many-a-co-worker the wrong way over the last 20 years+ thanks to her antics – a fact reaffirmed recently by ‘The House’ actors Will Ferrell and Cedric Yarbrough.
The duo, hot on the promo trail in support of the film due in theaters June 30, weren’t exactly shy when asked about Carey’s canned cameo in the film. While Ferrell opted to take the less than obvious approach, Yarbrough let it all out the bag.

“There were … suggestions [from Carey] that weren’t executed,” he said. “She was on our set and yeah, things happened and didn’t happen.”

For a nobody in today’s world, Mariah sure acts like she’s still the hottest thing in music. GIRL your voice is gone, everything you releases flops. You are not the ish anymore.
You just described 99% of the people from her era. But unlike them, Mariah still makes million per year. She’s definitely NOT a “nobody”.
Only two I can think of that are still here from that era and before are Mariah and Madonna.
Just because she still releases stuff doesn’t mean she’s still “here”. Her tickets are on Groupon and her music stopped selling. She isn’t here anymore and it’s because she acts like this. I still jam to musicbox tho !!
But, she still makes more in 1 hour than your entire pathetic family will in a lifetime though. When is the last time you saw a $2 Million for just showing Up?

A boss? As in the person who turns up to work on time, leads their team and gets the job done? Mariah’ s career is in tatters because she doesn’t realise that she doesn’t sell Enough units anymore to make the demands she’d like to. You can laugh it off and say “she’s a diva” but Meryl Streep, someone who is actually relevant and can sell NEW projects in her field, would never.
When u wrote and sung One Sweet Day & We belong Together… the 2 biggest hits of all time; and the biggest hit of the decade 2 decades in a row, you aint got NOTHING left to prove honey.
And when u wrote & sung THE ONLY modern Christmas classic that hit top 20 all over the world EVERY SINGLE YEAR, u ain’t got to sell new project. That s the whole point of having a TIMELESS CLASSIC. It’s a recurrent hit year after year that keeps her relevant and u will deal.

I love what Mariah has brought to music over the years and I’m still here for her best effort.., but I can’t co-sign her complacent approach to her output. As it goes, the film sounds trash, what was the point of saying yes to it? That said, it’s still a job. Mariah needs to get her sloppy act together.
