Diddy On Janet Jackson & Justin Timberlake Super Bowl Drama: “It’s Time To Move On”

Published: Monday 22nd Jan 2018 by Sam

Diddy has graced many a stage over the course of his illustrious career. However, few remember that said list includes the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

It’s little surprise that so few remember, given that his performance was part and parcel of Janet Jackson‘s now infamous 2004 offering with Justin Timberlake. And given what transpired, his joint showing with Nelly and Kid Rock is largely overlooked.

Still, whichever way it’s diced or sliced, he is forever connected to the narrative. As such, when he stopped by Watch What Happens Live last night, it wasn’t entirely far fetched when host Andy Cohen quizzed him on JT’s upcoming performance and his thoughts on the rumors of Janet joining him.

See what he had to say below…

For us (and many others), any such “moving on” would be more easily facilitated by a public acknowledgement of the injustice attached to the aftermath of SB 2004 – or better yet a do-over.

P.Diddy is a Fame-w****. Janet Jackson is royalty. Justin Timberlake is not.

Amecians love a ‘Come Back’ – Mariah did it on NYE, it’s Janets time, she has more to gain from appearing, and if positioned well, she could come out on top after a very successful 2017. Bring on the ‘Do over’ ?

Typical. Diddy is a man, so of course he wants folks to “move on” from holding another man responsible for dirt that he’s done. Funny how he wants folks to “move on” from this, yet he didn’t tell Colin Kaepernick to “move on” from the NFL blacklisting him, instead he put a bid in to buy the NFL! But a woman gets disrespected and we have to “move on”. STFU Diddy.

Not the same situation you reaching!! He did say it would good if she made appearance, I think he just mean it’s almost 15 years now it’s time to let go & let god if Janet not making a big deal about it neither should you point blank

      • SMH January 22, 2018

Talk about reaching. If it was a man who had suffered like Janet, Diddy would still be calling for “justice”. Thats a fact.

        NOPE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actuallly think his comments are being misinterpreted. He’s saying it would be great for her to make an appearance and for all the people who are still made about a nip-slip to get over it.

You know what people need to “move on” from? This whole she-needs-to-join-him-onstage narrative. Janet needs to headline ALONE, point blank, not be someone’s “special guest” or means to draw ratings, which is what all this hoopla is really about. Anything else would be an insult.

Amen! Janet is royalty and has treated Fame with the utmost respect. The narrative people are creating is desperate. Janet doesn’t need that stage nor does she need to prove herself. She did an amazing show and society showed just how cheap and poor it really is with its response during and after. Janet does not need to “crawl” back nor does she need this type of attention. I’m loving Janet right where she’s at and if she wants the attention she will do it on her own and not by positioning herself next to that cheap imitation of an artist.

I can’t with y’all pretending that it wasn’t a publicity stunt, a stunt that backfired on the most vulnerable character of our society, THE WOMAN, it’s not his fault that we live in a sexist society, any other man would have been exonerated from the backlash, just like any other woman would have been crucify for it (not Madonna though), the only people that pretend that it wasn’t staged are Janet fans and JT haters, why should he apologize for something that Janet herself stayed, it’s not his fault that her stunt backfired on her, if anything she should apologize for letting people believe that JT was responsible, they both know what they did, that’s why he hasn’t directly apologized to her and she hasn’t asked for an apology, JT did the right thing, he moved on as quick as he could, it would have affected his career, all because some legendary artists wanted to get some attention by creating controversy and used the “it” boy of the moment for it, no one should apologize to Janet, not even the companies that blacklisted her, because it wasn’t an incident, everyone know this, only Janet fans pretend it wasn’t, Janet has been playing the victim ever since, knowing that it was her own fault, she did this to herself.

    • Jeans January 22, 2018

STFU! It was not a stunt! GTFOH

    • Caleb January 22, 2018

She has not played the victim. You a damn liar.

    • NOW CONTROL THIS. January 23, 2018

I’m sure I addressed you about this on another thread. Don’t try and create your own narrative to fit your white supremacist mindset.

JANET has mentioned this ONCE on Oprah in 2006. So where has she be playing the victim?????? (I’ll wait)

      1) Janet was not on that stage alone – Justin EXPOSED Janet’s breast, not Janet.
      2) They BOTH said it was an accident.
      3) Justin has already admitted he got about 10% of the blame. (i.e – He left her out there to dry after riding her coat-tails for a come up).

So yes he should APOLOGIZE to her for how HE treated her as an alleged “friend”.

Stop trying to bring Madonna into this because your a Janet hater, get over it no one cares, I think Madonna is great but she has nothing to do with this.
