Danity Kane may have been able to fix their differences, but if one thing is decisively ‘Damaged’ it’s their relationship with creator Diddy.
The mogul famously put the group together on on MTV‘s ‘Making The Band’ and infamously disbanded them in dramatic fashion on the same platform.
Currently on the press trail for their latest reunion trek, ‘The Universe Is Undefeated,’ the ladies didn’t hold back when blaming “Puffy” for some of their earlier issues. Particularly impassioned were Aubrey O’Day and Shannon Bex, who went on to express that the Bad Boy pioneer didn’t care about them being successful. Rather, they said, he cared only about making good TV.

Depending on who one asks, there’ll always be debate about the who, what, and why relating to DK’s first split.
One thing that is a given is that they definitely ended prematurely and, even before then weren’t handled as best as they could have.
Anyone else recall how album campaigns would be limited to two singles (one pushed, the other not)? Or how promo only seemed to only take place when MTB was on?
We’re not apportioning blame in any one direction – especially when the girls themselves went on to go Mayweather/McGregor on each other. However, it is definitely food for thought.
Sadly he only cared about making MTV FUNDS!! He did that with a lot of his artists except the artist from the 90’s and even some of them were shitted on!!??♂️
I can understand their frustrations to a degree but they are also to blame why the last era ended prematurely.

Don’t forget Dawn was in Dirty Money with Diddy. He helped her career more than the others.
Dawn’s STILL friends with him and he also still mentors her behind the scenes. My point was that she was saying anything about those accusations or backing the girls up because she realised that no matter what, they signed the initial deal to appear on the “His” show and without him NO ONE would even know who they are…. Dawn has always learned faster than the other girls which is why she’s more elevated.
They seem like they have it together this time or at least have a planned journey so I’m proud of them. My personal opinion is that Dawn should use this as way to return to mainstream music solo after this last album with DK3 … hopong for a good mainstream run with the debut and hopefully sophomore then return with the other four girls…. That’s the movie I wanna see ??
Also Diddy gave her more chances and brought her along for his group so she can’t really have anything bad to say.

I’m so tired of Danity Kane and their drama. No one cares about the past right now. It seems like everytime that Danity Kane gets an interview it’s always about some Drama. I’m sick of it. They broke up the first time, then came back together and the interviews were focused more on drama than music and talent. Then broke up again and back together, and the interviews after that was about drama. Then get together for the third time and the interviews is about DRAMA.
First of all they shouldn’t have prematurely announced a reunion without any music or videos. Secondly they shouldn’t be interviewing without anything to promote. I feel like they have something to prove now, so music should have been first. This would have been better as a shock factor. They should have elease a new single and video to announce the comeback, cause these interviews with nothing to promote but past drama is tiring. But all in al i’m still rooting. I also hope that Aubrey doesn’t get any more botox or whatever it is she doing to her face cause sis looking kinda old.
Seems like their debut as a group was rushed tbh of course thanks to Diddy’s management they were able to hit mainstream but underneath it all there was still a lot of work to be done in terms of building a bond between each other. At times it felt like they were soloists performing as a unison rather than a proper group. All those difficulties their faced was twisted in drama for their reality TV show instead.
I believe them anyone remember the other successful group Dream they said the same thing bout Diddy lol
