    Sounds cute. Very Mariah-esque.

A NO NO remix with lil Kim SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE SINGLE. Come on record label smh

  3. Detruth November 9, 2018

Nice artists nowadays have to think outside the box. If the music doesn’t fare well then she will have coin from her exhibit. Next time I’m in NYC I’ll be checking it out.

  4. DanYiel November 9, 2018

    I’m not mad at this!!

  5. Theman November 9, 2018

She’ll make money regardless. This is awesome. And it’s fresh promotion. It’s outside the box. Great stuff.

    • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 9, 2018

I wish the music was as fresh and outside of the box as this promo idea

      • Theman November 9, 2018

The music is very good. It’s a different vibe from her other stuff. `The Distance’ & `No’ are very good & sound nothing like her other stuff. `Gtfo’ is even different vibe wise.

      • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 9, 2018

These all fit in Memoirs/E=MC2 vibes. They are not very different or fresh. They’re nice and listenable but nothing more than that. Same ol Mariah.

      • Theman November 10, 2018

They don’t sound anything like those songs though.

      • Theelusive1 on IG November 10, 2018

GET THE F OUT is totally fresh and blazin and THE DISTANCE is a bop; she is ANTI ballad in 2018

      • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 10, 2018

@Theman it’s the same ol Mariah. There is NOTHING distinguishable about her sound this era. It not only sounds like stuff she’s she’s one before but it also sounds like everything out by other artists. Oh she’s sampling a 1990’s Lil Kim/Notorious BIG song? She did that already on Memoirs “more than just friends”.. her ideas just aren’t fresh- they’re stale

    • JOHNVIDAL November 10, 2018

I have to say that yes The Distance and No have grown on me and I can totally dig an album like this (short album) full of boops like those two. It´s a pitty that GTFO is there though. That song truly is a no no for the status and place where she is or should be today. That totally puts everybody off except for close fans. Nobody is interested in that type of slow song that doesn´t even feel dating or anything since Mariah has been doing that type of “modern” language stuff for decades now. And the baby voice nobody likes it. I don´t like that it opens the album. But With You is classy and the video is good. And those other two songs are really enjoyable as I said. If the album keeps it cohesive it will be pretty good overall. I wasn´t feeling it at first because I wanted something even fresher but now I´ve come to terms. At least she is doing what I had been saying she should do, which is stop making impossible ballads anymore. She needs QUALITY easy to sing music. She needed to stop going for those extra ballads cause her voice is not there now. Which is totally normal.

The quality is on par with what all the other artists are doing now. You’re just being biased because u stan Mariah, which is understandable. But if this were rihanna making this music you’d be calling it generic, not organic, forgettable and everything else… and to be clear rihanna could definitely sing these basic a*** songs she’s releasing. You’ve forced urself to like them but let’s keep it real they are all wuite forgettable and in a year or even 6 months these songs won’t be in your “revisiting” playlist when you listen to Mariah. This is all background music

      • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 10, 2018

@JohnVidal And FYI the language Mariah is using on GTFO is not modern language by any means. You must be, obviously, white in a non urban area. The words “tingz” (things) and “scusa me” (excuse me) are patois, a Caribbean (more specifically Jamaican) dialect dating back to the 17th century. There’s nothing new about those words, they’re super common. Look if you’re going to come on a black music blog and comment on a black artists music you probably should do more research on the black community. This CelineDionDaily, my dear ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️?????????????

      • Theman November 10, 2018

Her voice is there when she rehearses. She’s been doing amazing in Asia. Also, radio ain’t playing too many songs where singers sing sing. This album has a certain vibe to it. It’s very good material. It’s contemporary but with her lil twist on it.

      • JOHNVIDAL November 10, 2018

Please first of all stop trolling this whole blog once and for all. Secondly, you just didn´t want to get the point I was making with language like GTFO. Do you see any other “seasoned” artists using such words for their tracks title? No. Mariah has been doing it for decades, most don´t do it. That was the point. And also that it is in no kind of way new for her. Definitely not fresh. I couldn´t care less about your black vs white redundant stuff. I´m from Europe. Stop stupidity now. You seem to have a problem with race. I don´t.

Also, the quality may be on par with what someone like Rihanna releases now (not how she produces her vocals though, Rihanna wishes she would have any type of similar vocal creativity even now. Maybe you don´t understand vocals that well). But even if their material is on par… Rihanna never released anything better, while Mariah earned a position many years ago that Rihanna will never see. She has already done better.

      • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 10, 2018

@johnV I love Mariah also but let’s be real she sings out of her nose now, she doesn’t give anyone a run for their money anymore. Rihanna could hang with her in 2018, and rihanna can at least sing from her diaphragm in 2018. Mariah sings out of her nose and throat which is why her tone is no longer beautiful anymore and she can’t sing her sings live. She can “vocal produce” all she wants but the records are bland as hell and the live performances are trash and lipped so allllll that “prpduction“ for weak material and cringeworthy live showings. I’ll always be a fan but I’ll always be real, also.

      • JOHNVIDAL November 11, 2018

It´s ok hun. I´m also being real. She is 50 years old, she´s not going to release the ebst material she´s ever done now. Just accept it. I´m critical when I have too. And I´ve been saying a lot of buts these past weeks. But you just proved how good she is when you said she is on par with Rihanna in 2018, an artist 20 years younger (and that has done nothing compared to Mariah. Their future won´t be similar by any means when both careers are over). If you cannot see how unique and still special she is with her vocal production that´s your loss. It take stalent too, and all her experience. You are not going to tell pucking mariah carey, who knows her voice and life struggles better than anyone, how she has to sing. i´m sure for teh most part she does the best she can. I´m always surprised at these supposed experts who believe these ladies are not already doing all they can to keep their voices and/or life going. Do you guys think they don´t know vocals, or that they don´t work with vocal coaches? They already do the bets they can. Which is more than any of us will ever do vocally obviously.

      • JOHNVIDAL November 11, 2018

She KNOWS her voice. Not you. That´s why she keeps being respected by any sane colleage of hers. Did you see judges of The Voice losing it cause she was there? They should be as or more famous and respected than her atm. However, it´s clear they adknowledge she is on another level. Something irreplaceable.

    • Theman November 10, 2018

Again, neither song sounds like other material. And she sampled a song. So what. It’s very good. It’s different from any of her other songs sound wise.,

      • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 10, 2018

It’s a different song, sure. But it’s the same formula, same type of cadence and she even uses the same melody of “touch my body” in the second vers. It’s nothing new or fresh, it’s the same ol same. Choose to acknowledge what you want but facts are facts this is regurgitated sameness. “With you” is nothing more than a regurgitated “Angels cry” or “istay in love”… blah blah blah. Nothing new to see here folks

      • Jasmine Da Bi Asian iSlay TROLLmine Rasputia (hermaphrodite) on the daily November 10, 2018

@theMan and the whole delusional “she doesn’t have to sing sing this album has a certain vibe”…. is bullshït. “The impossible, more than just friends, Candy bling, obsessed, faded, up out my face, OOC, touch my body, did I do that” and a whole bunch of her other songs have this exact same vibe. This is the same laid back “I don’t have to sing sing” approach she has incorporated since Butterfly this is not “a vibe” or anything new it is a thing Mariah has been doing for over half her career now. Get a grip dude.
