Tiwa Savage is transforming her EP ‘Water & Garri’ into a feature film.

Set for a May 10 premiere on Amazon’s Prime Video, the Meji Alabi-directed movie sees the performer take center stage in her acting debut as Aisha.

After 10 years away building an entrepreneurial empire in the US, she makes an emotional return to her hometown in Eastside.

She quickly learns that while some bonds stay the same, time and distance have affected the flavor and flow of her relationships with the loved ones she left behind.

Savage stars alongside Mike Afolarin, Andrew Bunting, and Jemima Osunde.

Afrobeats belles Simi and Tiwa Savage link up for the creatively titled ‘Men Are Crazy.’

Produced by Big Fish and penned by Simi alongside Prince Omoferi, the captivating cut sees the ladies muse on the magnetic and chaotic pull of their romantic interests.

Trading verses over the flavorsome beat, the duo mirrors the energy in the track’s accompanying music video – which was directed by pink.

Tiwa Savage took center stage at the coronation concert for King Charles III today at Windsor Castle and aimed to please with a majestic showing of a song that may have come as a surprise to some.

For, Savage opted to sing ‘Keys To The Kingdom’ from ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ – the Beyonce-produced collaborative project for the hit movie.

The Nigerian artist’s enlisting for the show, which also featured showings from the likes of Katy Perry, Take That, and Lionel Richie, was hailed by some as a welcome move to celebrate diversity.

Afrobeats stars Tiwa Savage and Asake have linked up for a titan-sized collaboration.

Christened ‘Loaded,’ the track sees the stars trade verses over a pulsating beat – courtesy of Magicsticks. 

The song arrives amidst a breakout year for Asake, who has galvanized the globe with hits such as ‘Terminator,’ ‘Joha,’ and ‘Organise.’

Savage, of course, continues to stand at the forefront of the female Afrobeats scene.

The Afrobeats queen is accompanied by rising Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae on the track, which follows the Brandy-assisted ‘Somebody’s Son.’

Its moody visual was directed by Meji Alabi and sees the ladies turn up the heat in earnest.

And she’s lined up an eclectic list of names to join her – including Brandy, Nas, and Rich King.

The project, which lifts its name from a Nigerian delicacy, follows Savage’s 2020 album ‘Celia.’

Since bursting onto the scene with classics such as ‘Kele Kele’ and ‘Eminado,’ Savage has climbed to international notability and with her latest release adds a flavorsome new chapter to her musical narrative.
