Azealia Banks may not have an album out yet, but that hasn’t stopped the New York femcee from having A LOT to say about everyone – battling with everyone and their mom on social media at least once weekly. Indeed, the likes of Iggy Azalea, Angel Haze, Shystie, and Perez Hilton are just a few of those who’ve been at the receiving end on the forest of shade the rapper continues to throw.
Is she doing the most? Is it simply self-expression? Watch as That Grape Juice gives Azealia Banks The Business…live from SXSW!
Check out recently released footage pulled from Shystie‘s controversial ‘Control It‘ video, featuring former gal pal/current nemesis Azealia Banks.
Arriving days after the ladies got into a heated dispute over the video’s release on Twitter, the piece sees the ladies explain its concept and execute their ideas at London’s East End studios, available to watch after the jump….
Since blazing onto the scene last year, Azealia Banks has locked horns with an endless list of artists. One of the New Yorker’s most recent sparring partners was fellow femcee Angel Haze who dueled with Banks on Twitter in January.
Fast forward two months and it appears a fork has been struck into the beef. For, when quizzed on the drama in an interview with Fuse at SXWX over the weekend, Haze said:
“I’m a 20 year old girl and sometimes I get a little aggy at other girls who kind of throw a little shade here and there. As far as I’m concerned, it’s totally over. I don’t really care about it and I wish her the most success, and it shouldn’t have happened on such a public platform, so that is all I regret”.
Since blazing into the mainstream with ’212′, Azealia Banks has ensured her name is hot on the lips of many. Indeed, a potent potion of beef, virals, and visuals have made the New Yorker a staple in the minds of the masses.
Now, it seems, the budding star is ready to show and prove with new single ‘Yung Rapunxel’. Due out on March 26th, the Lil Internet produced cut is the “first” to be lifted from Banks’ hotly anticipated album debut ‘Broke With Expensive Taste’. So what better way to get folk talking than with a super out-there single cover.
Seemingly paying homage to her outspoken M.O, the edgy shot sees the femcee’s eyes replaced with her mouth. Cue the “illuminati” chants in, 3, 2…
