Ask hip hop’s reigning highnesses – Lil’ Kim, Missy Elliott, and Nicki Minaj – and they can attest to being titled such at some point in their illustrious careers (the latter more than her rap predecessors).
Indeed, in the heavily male-dominated genre of rap, trying to “hang with the boys” has either constituted hypermasculinization or explicitly detailing bedroom antics. Either way, rap’s estrogenic entities have had to take the extreme route often to little notoriety…
Despite insinuating she would be taking a break from music some months ago, Rapper Lil Mama has announced that she is to release a new album in coming months.
The confirmation of the project came at the Digiwaxx Event in New York City some nights ago.

The last few years have seen Lil Mama’s career center around everything but the music.
From her oft celebrated role on America’s Best Dance Crew to the hoo ha that was her appearance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, Ms. Mama has had her creative endeavors both shunned and overlooked by those turned all the way off by her shameless antics.
Now it seems she is hoping that will all change with the release of a new song named ‘Hustler Girl’.

Recent years have seen Lil Mama‘s career go from one publicized difficulty to another, from suffering various commercial shortcomings to her infamous ‘appearance’ at the MTV Video Music Awards two years ago.
However, if her latest delivery is anything to go by, it would appear the Rapper is hoping to divert all attention back to her artistry, with her latest song ’Scrawberry‘.
