NeNe Leakes will not be returning as a regular to ‘The Real Housewives Of Atlanta.’
The news came courtesy of the reality star herself during a sit-down interview on The Steve Harvey Show.
Usually a fire-cracker, a surprisingly subdued Leakes explained that she “felt like Kelly Ripa” after not being contacted to appear in season 9 of the Bravo hit.
[As widely reported, Ripa made headlines after being blindsided by the departure of her co-host on ‘Kelly & Michael’]
Her words ring somewhat odd given that she also didn’t feature as a peach-holding housewife in the last season of the show.
In any case, fans of outspoken Leakes needn’t riot just yet. For, she offered an optimistic outlook on her future with the franchise.

Does anyone feel as though the “queen supreme” seems to have been humbled somewhat?
The reality is that RHOA maintained strong ratings in her absence, with her cameo episodes not causing any kind of spike.
With word on the curb being that coin and commitment were the cause for her initial departure, one has to wonder how long it’ll be before talk of a full-time comeback comes to fruition.

I would like to see some new blood in the main cast. I’m bored about the past couple seasons.
It’s very dry. The same 40 year olds bickering like they’re pre-teens every episode. However, Nene is the queen of the housewives franchise. When you think of RHOA, you automatically think of NeNe Leakes.

Karma. She wanted a big return but I guess season without her did fine. She needs to realize that’s her home and not her wannabe acting career. Hell all her shows and such were limited or ended. Fashion Police probably regrets her there too.
What she should have done was humbled herself like Sheree did and earned her spot back. Hopefully Sheree gets her peach. I won’t lie, it would have been nice to see the originals back especially with Kim added too. But honestly it makes sense. She was making diva-ish demands even as a guest and she was apparently getting paid more for guest appearances than the actual cast. The ratings were fine without her.
The rating were not all that great that is why they brought
her back in the first place. They thought that Kim Fields
would have helped to bring the ratings up but did’t happen.
I don’t see how bring Kim Bergman back and not Nene is foolish to me.
I am glad her head has gotten to big.She left and realize she wasn’t as big as she thought. She was basically getting all the same jobs the other housewives were getting DWTS,celeb apprentice,etc.No big motion pictures,no sitcoms to speak off. So now she wants to slink back to her bread and butter.
Let see how the show is with her on it this year
