For, it has officially announced that the rapper has snapped up the rights to critically acclaimed Brit drama ‘Top Boy’ and will be re-imagining the series on Netflix.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, the Canadian superstar revealed that he, along with Adel Nur and SpringHill Entertainment, will executive produce the new incarnation of ‘Top Boy.’
Drizzy’s take on the gritty crime drama, which originally starred Ashley Walters, will go into production early next year for a 2019 debut.
In a commendable move, the Hip-Hop titan has actually tapped Walters, Kano, and a number of key figures involved with the original to help shape the remake:
The project forms part of a broader crossover into scripted work for the 31 year old, who told THR that he plans to “take six months or a year to myself and do some great films.” He currently is pitching other project to Netflix and Apple Music.
