Gabby Douglas was slammed by fans when she seemed to suggest that outfit choices made by girls and women could be to blame for the sexual abuse they suffer at the hands of men.
Today, she has stepped forward to apologise her remarks and reveal that her comments were rooted in the trauma she is battling after she was molested by her doctor.
I didn’t publicly share my experiences as well as many other things because for years we were conditioned to stay silent and honestly some things were extremely painful.
Her story below…
Nasser was imprisoned in Michigan after he plead guilty to possession of child abuse images after spending thirty years as a trainer and medical coordinator with the USA gymnastics program.
‘The Guardian‘ adds…
He faces 22 counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving at least seven victims, in addition to being sued by over 125 women in civil court who claim he sexually assaulted them under the guise of treatment, and could receive a life sentence in prison.
Unfortunately, a number of the pervert’s victim’s were minors. Three of them being Ms. Douglas, Aly Raisman and McKayla Maroney.
And of course most folks aren’t interested in giving Gabby Douglas an ounce of support because they view Black girls/women as unreasonably stronger. Y’all stay picking and choosing whose trauma y’all will support.

Everybody been molested, sad
This is so sad! Hearing all these women come forward is just heartbreaking! I think society needs to examine the idiom “sleep your way to the top”! That sounds like it was created by a certified male creeper! Women have been blamed for men’s disgusting predatory behavior for far too long! Damn CREEPS! Ya’ll heard about Charlie Rose too, right? Expose them ALL!
Sorry to hear that, that’s messed up. I have been hearing that on the grapevine that a lot of these gymnasts and other Olympians were molested. don’t be surprised if more of them start to come out and let people know.
