I’m extremely happy for her. Some people are saying “get that money”, HOWEVER, Serena is worth far much more money than him, so I’m sure that wasn’t a factor as much as he can hold his own financially. She deserves to be treated like the queen she is. And from the poem she wrote about the proposal, he definitely does that. And can’t NOBODY fix their face to say anything about race. Congrats to her! She´s such an example. She and her sister. They have also proved how at their best an athlete that eats healthy and cruelty-free in a vegan “diet” can be. Real examples that should be followed.
Congrats to my girl Serena!!! It seems like the proposal was hella cute too. I can’t say I’m surprised by the vitriol that’s been spewed her way by bitter Black men. I’ve seen her been called all sorts of names – sellout, bedwench etc – all because her fiancé is a white man. Um, as far as I’m concerned, Serena has been quite open with the men she’s dated. Hell, many of us thought it’ll be Common that would’ve wifed her up. Plus, I think it’s super hypocritical of these men because they will be the first to down Serena and other black women (saying she looks like a man and s***) in the name of their white counterparts. I say she should continue to do her and let the haters seethe.
I think you are giving too much attention to “haters”. There are far more supporters and general tennis fans that like and support Serena’s decisions than haters so why give haters any attention? Haters don’t deserve your attention. I hope that she gets a prenup but I feel I am still more of a supporter even with the prenup comment because I want her to be happy.
