Rihanna performed her UK #1 single ‘Umbrella’ over here this past weekend at BBC Radio 1’s ‘Big Weekend’. The Bajan beauty has really developed a stage presence and the performance was pretty good. Her live vocals still need some working on though, as there were a few obvious off-key moments during the performance.

She went off key twice maybe thrice, but I don’t mind. The performance was magnificent, Rihanna is getting better and better. I want one of those Umbrella’s 😛
She has gotten better, her confidence level has risen. GOOD FOR HER
I’m proud of her, she’s come a long way I think, and she didn’t sound that bad at all.
LMAO she made a mistak thrice. She she was a bit pitchy and off key a couple of times. But to my surprise she gave a great performance, looked good and overall sounded just like the record. She shocked me when she hit her high note towards the end. She worked hard over the past 3 threes and look it has definitely paid off! Thanks for posting the video. I LOVE that song and YES I too want an umbrella :o)

not bad at all… i expected her to be horrible but at least she left the singing and dancing together alone until she fully develops the skill to do both together. Ciara didnt quite get that memo….. I think i may buy this album.. GO Rihanna

I think she was very good, and I agree-she didn’t sound too far off from the original version. She’s cute, and I wish her the best of luck. Oh yeah, if you know where I can get one of those umbrellas–hook a sista up!!
