Following the news last week that Beyonce is to release another album next year, the ‘Deja Vu’ singer has gone on record to, once again, confirm that a new CD is in the works. According to the star, she will begin recording in towards the end of this year. Check out the video below:
Why she feels the need to come out with another album so soon is anyone’s guess. A few years (hell, even one) out of the limelight may do her career some good – build the anticipation-but no. I can’t front though, I will be watching closely to see how things go down with her next project. Pre-‘Irreplaceable’, ‘B’ Day’ was largely considered a commercial failure; even with a re-release the total sales failed to top those of her first album ‘Dangerously In Love’. So it’ll be interesting to see how she fares this time around.

My opinion is the reason early bday sales were strong is because nobody had time to relise how BADDD the album was. Nothing about it was original. It mads that people are bragging that she done it in two weeks. That means someone wrote the tracks produced the tracks or stole them off victoria beckham! Then all she done is went in a studio for a couple of weeks and sang what was already there. Theres no art to that at all. I was a big fan when dangerously in love came out but now i just see her as a record company production. The woman comes across so desperate. If this is what the apparantly worlds best female artist is gona keep coming out with then ima give up on music.

yeah, B def. did not get nominated for an Oscar at all. She was mad as hell that she didn’t get it for writing “listen.” The Academy people said that only the 3 main writers could be nominated, and even though she said she wrote THE WHOLE SONG, and that it was FROM HER HEART, the main writers were the ones who got nominated, and she probably just flipped a couple melodies. Whoever the reporter was who did this interview needed to get them facts straight before he did this. And she was waaaaaay outmatched in the acing category that she could have been nominated for…*smh*

Dangerously in Love was a HOT album.. and all the single’s + Dangerously In Love 2 where HOT! but The other songs could’ve been done by other lightskined singers with long blonde wheaved hair and a nice voice..
It was a suc6 because Beyonce’s voice was in it!
B Day in the other hand was a production only Bee could’ve done..
It had a lot of diffrent styles and they all where HOT!

Deja Vu was a production only Bee could’ve done! The vocals and the beat and everything about the song is HOT! and the video is pure couture with a tottaly original choreography [based on african dances]

B’Day was recorded in two weeks with more songs but 10 plus a hidden track mad the cut. that was September 5th, 2006. She re-release B’day with songs she didnt put on the album but recored like 3 new songs. That doesn’t really count. That was a Special Edition. and Beyonce mad history for being the first artist to make videos for every one of her songs on her album. September 5th is right around the corner and that will make a year. At the end of this year she is recording another album which might be released in the summer of 2008 or later on in 2008. Beyonce is the best in what she do and she is the MOST hardest working entertainer in this business so ya’ll need to respect her and if you aint feeling it just turn the station on the tv and radio. How hard is that to do?

B-day sold 600 million in its first official week based mostly on the fact that it had a gigantic # of pre-sales. Remember, that you can pre-order the record on amazon and like websites before the album even comes out! They ship it to you on the day of the release and it counts towards the first week of sales. I remember around that time there were rumors that B’s dad pushed for her pre-sales to start the same day that LaToya Luckett’s album dropped (it was a big controversy). Also, she was beginning to promote dream girls so she was already out there and talking about dream girls AND her album and how she lost 20lbs in two weeks, etc. etc….thus she was effectively promoting her pre-sales while doing those interviews…she is smart. But keep in mind that pre-sales are BEFORE anyone has heard the album!
And after everyone heard it no one was jumpping up and down…but the label thought it was going to be a success because she shot a video for EVERY song on the album!
And B’s writing and recording the album in 2 weeks is crap. It sounds like what Jay-Z used to say about his albums “I don’t write anything I just go to the studio and flow.” We all know that is a lie because Kanye is on record and will tell anyone who will listen that he was a ghost writer for Jay-Z! Jay-Z had several ghost writers so technically he didn’t write before he went to the studio someone else did but the truth is that he didn’t just free-style on all of this rhymes!!! We they feel the need to overstate the truth is beyond me! Who cares! Most people don’t understand how many weeks/months it takes to record an album anyway…we just care about the final product!

yes her album was successful but compared 2 the destiny’s child albums and her last it doesnt even compare. I, for one, was surprised to hear Beyonce say that she plans to start work on her next album this December. After such a whirlwind of success within the last year, I would imagine she would be welcoming hiatus right about now.
But, I guess not…& she loves what she does. Judging from the bulk of responses here…there are ALOT of unhappy people in this world. As much as many of you may draw up weak comparisons or fledging comments…the numbers NEVER lie. “B’Day” was one of the top selling albums of 06-07. Its first week’s sales alone were enough to knock Christina Aguilera out of her top selling first-week-sale female position.
When “B’Day” was re-released…he album jumped from #69 to #6. You ain’t gotta like her…but you gotta respect the numbers. I will say that “B’Day” is way more commercial than her first album & it took a while for it to grow on me. Re-releasing the album was a very smart move.
I would like to see her take a break for maybe a year or so…you know…rest from all that she does. But…I guest she doesn’t need it right now.
….& for all of you ranting about her making a new album….chill. If she wasn’t putting out new material, many of you would be quick to brand her ‘forgotten’. Also, just b/c recording may start in December ’07 does not mean it’ll be ready in a few short months. It may very well not be released until early 2009…so many hypothetical directions it could go.
